Great news that old swinney has not sold all of his options but only an amount needed to cover the tax. Normally he sells the lot and presumably spends it on luxury goods or trips to luxury resorts but this time he has kept about 50%. Obviously not a great vote of confidence (most of us have more shares than swinney) but could this be the turning point?

Thankfully that would be assigning a level of intelligence to AB that I doubt he possesses. A few years ago someone put it well when they stated that he is a risk taker with poor timing. I think that is probably a good assessment. I haven't seen any change in behaviour. I think it is a step too far to state that the bankers are backing Enquest and their purchase of Golden Eagle. Indeed, Enquest state as much in their going concern statement. They have reason to believe that they will get the backing but nothing definite. I think this uncertainty has definitely pushed down the sp more than other oilies. I don't use the term peers any longer because they are all much larger than this minnow.

The sp development is difficult to understand but many energy stocks are under pressure. Nevertheless, shareholder wealth generation is nothing short of an unmitigated disaster in Enquest. I feel sorry for AB that he has had to find out the hard way that he is not up to scratch as CEO and that he has ploughed his family wealth and trust monies into this dog. At least most of us LTH have a day job where we get job satisfaction. AB must feel like he has been in a never ending nightmare that started August 2014 and he has ploughed £80M pounds and 11 years of his life into something that has generated a return of roughly -60%!

And come to think about it I have nothing to show for investing in this dogs**t either :-)

When I think of AB I think of the Life of Brian and the famous line "He's not the messiah he's a very naughty boy". Feels like that fits AB. People have talked him up but he has nuffin to show for it....

It is most often painful listening to an Enquest presentation. The leadership team is not media trained and they stumble on many of their responses which creates no confidence in their ability. They should be selling this as an opportunity of a lifetime but AB is unclear and rambling. When asked what Cash BE would be this year - I must admit I didn't follow his response. Is it $32 + 10 to 20% due to Oil price movements or what?

There is no uncertainty regarding Enquest as a going concern., Please read the update carefully.

I am surprisingly calm ahead of the rns. I have been invested for 6.5 years and gone through the full gambit of emotions. Last year it almost felt that we were going down the toilet but AB has picked himself up and brushed off the faeces that was covering Enquest. We are much stronger proposition today and I feel confident that I will make a profit on the investment (just need to hit 21p again). Today we go up or we may go down (the most is already known in fact) but AB may release something more about the RI. The trend of Enquest and most importantly Brent is upwards. GLA!

Must be a good sign

I might be wrong but my feeling when they announced the rights issue without any concrete date or amount for the renegotiated SFA indicates that there is more to come and therefore they cannot be specific as regards timing or amount. I think there will come a part 2 and as many believe that part 2 will come in Malaysia. It makes no sense for Richard Hall to be there otherwise and the fact that Faria comes onboard is another strong indication.

I think the Golden Shower deal was a good one in hindsight and we will see significantly higher Brent during 2021 and by extension Enquest share price.
