Would like to be wrong but I cannot see the sp breaching 18p even if Brent were to hit $75 until AB provides clarity on what is happening with the finances and the OO. AB is a master of wealth destruction. For him to talk about wealth creation at the AGM is the same thing for Putin to deliver a speech about democracy to the west. Investors are not fooled by his smoke and mirrors.

Jan - they have to get the deal done by end of Q3 as the SFA expires on the 1st October. AB is well informed and he will inform the rest when he is good and ready. I would imagine some half baked rns comes out early July so not far off your timing. Interestingly half yearlies are due on the 2nd September so the value of that will go down as AB will be forced to "tell the truth" when the rns comes.

Good find chilts. One could almost replace Hurricane with Enquest and the text would line up. AB talks about shareholder value in an autonome fashion. I don't think he truly understands that he is there to serve the broader interests of shareholders other than himself. but obviously he is not alone. Ivory tower!

Oh Krakenoil you misunderstand me. Unlike you I don't change my views based on how the sp changes from morning to evening like you do. I have been dead consistent in my views. The difference is I now understand that this has been part of his master plan to shaft all shareholders, fud all talk of dividends and it truly is a masterstroke. As a sign of appreciation I have decided to launch my own oil company on the FTSE with a 10% holding and bonus shares based on underperformance. I will buy up overvalued late life assets and borrow 2bn to build an FPSO to dredge up heavy oil and then scrap one of the investments after a couple of years. I will regularly make calls on shareholders as part of my long term investments under the mantra of creating shareholder value. AB has set the standard and he has done very well indeed and made a career out of it. I salute AB!

Hats off to AB! He has quite literally done a stunning job. For starters look at our mcap. Consider that 250M USD has been raised in the last 2 rounds 2016 and 2018 he really has done an immense job. MCap just slightly above those 2 raises. He has bought Magnus, brought Kraken online as well as GE and turned NPVs of 100ms into nothing that is reflected in the mcap. I am in awe :-)

AB is really pleased. I think that he has done a stunning job to pull back and steady the sp, tire out the LTH - first time I see Jan blow his top. What a master stroke!

Laidback - there will be an oo and most IIs will not take it up I believe so AB will mop up the scraps.

Steady on Jan. AB will do this deal when he is good and ready and not when we want the deal to go through. He will want to bring his average down significantly so it is in his best interests that the sp is hanging around these levels indeed hopefully lower so he can suck up the shares the institutions will not be touching. Hopefully we can suck up even more shares to for about 10p a pop.

Of one deducts the supposed increased value of GE from enquests mcap we have an mcap that is close to what enquest was Valued at when Brent was in the low 30s. Lol

Kraken has been a relative success but ag was a complete disaster. Enquest should not engage with new field development. Enquest is very Much run like ABs hobby Project. I want to know what is happening with the enquest producer (another writeoff?).

I agree with your comment that significant investment is required. It is pie in the sky stuff that enquest can afford this investment. No wonder the market is giving enquest a wide berth

Hi romaron - it was a great question but ABs answer was as always difuse AB speak and i remember being left none the wiser. AB has a tendency to speak a lot without saying anything. He really needs media training but i am afraid it is a case of teaching old dogs new tricks

I think a lot of the logic for acquiring booth Fields lies in the need to bolster reserves. AB stressed the topic of rbl lending on the call and this guides his actions. A slight of hand.
