This is one of the rare remaining UK Tech Company, making money and paying a steady dividend that is still not taken over yet.

From Arm Holdings to Spectris, Darktrace, Alphawave, Avast, Microfocus, Blue Prism, Aveva, etc. all were taken over with a few

still not making a profit.

With excellent recurring revenues, cash generation and steady dividend, this is a no brainer for either a fund or a larger Telco.

Of course he doesn't realise only faces have changed because the mollah regime is still the same and is always there.

When a businessman is doing politics anything is possible.

IMO the markets are totally manipulated and this relief rally is just one part of the Russian Roulette some people are playing to make as much money as possible during this war.

Two things that are affected by the Iran war:

1/ Energy shortage

2/ Medicine shortage

You probably missed the SECOND trailing table in the RNS showing 148, 199, 194, 10 ... shares etc.

IMO this is probably because they wanted to gather the small purchases of 120 shares, 250 shares etc. in one lot instead of releasing everyday a RNS for 150 or 80 shares and the next day another for 90 shares etc.

I cannot see any other explanation.

In any case they can do that for simplicity and avoid crowding their news releases.

Many are buying for the excellent yield - next dividend (Ex. 19th of March, Payment of 36.24p on 30 April).

Many also think it is so cheap that it will be taken over by either a fund or a bigger pharma to be exposed to generic drugs.

As an example, a takeover of £25 a share will value the company roughly at £5.5B while the yield is 5% and revenue over £3B.

With so many drugs in the pipeline and a growing demand - particularly after the IRn war - , this is very cheap indeed.

Agree with you Nomad. Ashtead Tech is an excellent fit to Hunting business model.

Agree the margins are very important as they affect profit as soon as business volumes drop.

Since the death of the main founder in 2015, there is the possibility the actual CEO (the son) would like to sell.

IMO due to its decent revenues, income and dividends, I won't be surprised seing it snapped up by a US Fund or even a US pharma that wants exposure to generic drugs.

Knowing how branded medicines require a huge long-term and high-risk investment in research, exposure to generic medicine could be the tool to cut cost and risk and sell larger volumes.

The demand for Hikma products after the Iran war will be significant in the Middle East.

So IMO HIK is definitely a medium to long term hold as, while waiting for events to unfold, one will receive a steady decent devidend (5%+ yield).

This is how I see it.

Agree as I wrote before, there will be a huge demand for medicines especially in the Middle East where Hikma is the main supplier

for all Gulf States and nearby countries.

This conpany is becoming day by day very cheap with the lowest PE in the sector.

Its turnover is far greater than its market cap with good decent profit and steady dividend yield of over 5%.

For all these reasons, I won't be surprised to see it taken over in 2026.

So my resons for investing in it are:

1/ Steady dividend

2/ Very cheap

3/ Possibility of a takeover AT LEAST at double current share price - which is a mere £5.5 Billion that equates to £25 per share.

The dividend is 35.854p.

Ex. divi is 19 March.

Payment is 30 April.

If VTY didn't do well before the Iran war, it will be worse now and in the future.

When oil is hitting $100+, inflation will follow pushng central banks to raise interest rates.

With unemployment, interest rates and inflation going up, how one can afford a mortgage ?

IMO only renting will benefit.

So house builders will be the worst sector to be invested in for the next few years.

VTY will be the hardest hit.

Regardless of the results tomorrow, the HB's will be hit by the growing inflation caused by the Iran war.

If inflation goes up worldwide, the central banks have no other choice or tool than raising interest rates, making it even harder for the subdued housing sector.

On top of all this, we have unemployment going up worldwide.

How can one buy a house under such conditions ?

IMO only renting will go up because nobody would venture buying a house under such uncertain and murky world.

I am adding too for these reasons:

1/ The war will trigger a huge demand for medicines in the Middle East where Hikma is the main pharma

2/ I will get more than £1500 in dividends on 30 April (ex divi is 19 March)

3/ Hikma may be taken over as the founders hold more than 27%

4/ I will hold it for the long term as it always recovers with time and with the recovering sector while getting a 5% dividend yield.

To this has a lot of sense.

The demand for medicines in the Middle East will be huge.

The gulf states in particular have never experienced such a stressful period for a long time.

Hikma being the main pharmaceutical supplier in the region will benefit a lot.

The family holds 27%.

If one reads between the lines, a takover will happen in not a distant future.
