The only product I can see being harmed seriously is Trent 1000..it could certainly be assembled in the US but localisation of part manufacturing would take 5+ years to complete...why would you bother? RR USA buy America anyways as it's mainly defence.

Most large defence projects are pan European and set up whilst we were still in the EU so to make Typhoons for say the Luftwaffe every partner makes a share of both the engine and the aircraft so even though they're for Germany, Italy, Spain, UK all contribute. It would be impossible for Germany to make the engine themselves as the modules made by RR are RR's IP. The same with missiles..MBDA are a Italian, German and UK JV. RR are a very big winner in this as we supply the powerpacks for a very very large portion of Europes armoured vehicles and ships

We (rr) get a share of the €125bn by default. Almost every European tank bar the French has got an MTU engine and if more Eurofighters ordered then we get 33% of the engine. Same with A400M but we can't really moan can we?

Not really AZ..I don't know where you get 20£ from. The government says 25% of demand by 2050 so 25% of 50gw is 12.5Gw. each SMR produces 300Mw so that's 42 units. Even if we got the whole order that only 1.7 units per year call it 2 at 2billion £ each = £4billion per year revenue which would be a 20% increase on today.

Berkshire Hathaway have never done a share split and each share is over $700,000 each. Maybe one day for RR lol

Hi Charley, the buy back program is £1 billion pounds spread over 1 year. Yesterday they bought 334,000 shares back at £8 or so which will be cancelled. I think it was an 8 for 1 rights issue so had they not done it today's SP would be £64..it's going to take an awfully long time to buy back 7 billion shares though at a billion pounds a year...60 years or so? Every day though there are miniscule amount less shares in circulation which means the remaing shares have a bigger share in the fortunes of the company

Hi Neversatisfied, the drilling is going to take 12 weeks (google says Drilling typically takes about 50-60 days. It starts with preparing the site (clearing and leveling) and setting up a drilling rig to drill a borehole and feed steel pipe into the well) so if that starts July then end of October ?

He can't without paying CGT unless it's in an ISA. If it's in a dealing account he'll have to wait until April and transfer £20k in then repeat over the next 14 years.

A little sneaky of him..£95k is still an incredible amount. Onto the new well, google says 50 to 60 days which I guess is working days so 12 weeks which puts us into Q4.

I'm going to watch this again at the weekend and drink a shot every time he says "we're not the lead operator"... encouraging that the contract on the new rig "very shortly" and drilling starting in July for the new well. question for science is can I risk more dry powder? £25k today would get you a tenth of a billion

We've shafted ourselves..I've done what everyone else has done and gone on big and early thinking that Hemo were going to cruise to a multi million pound JV or sale. They of course didn't so the only way they can raise funds is by dilution...every single non revenue producing company (and even some with revenue) has to dilute. As with every single one of my AIM shares had I spread my investment over a couple of years instead of all in one go then I wouldn't have been hurt so badly. We now have 15 to 20 weeks for 'something' to happen or more dilution required.

My foray into AIM shares has been an unmitigated disaster..I've got paper losses of over £50k on this, Prem, SYN, Hemo, Sunda, Jubilee...the list goes on. I'm lucky in that RR has paper gains covering my AIM disasters. like PREM, there's no point in selling £20k down to a few hundred pounds. what a sh£t show.

Wow..golly that's an awful awful lot of money at our expense...nearly a £1000 per day every day Inc weekends between the two of them.

Yes..I hear they pay pretty well at SYN...someone needs to call him out...how can he defend his salary alone being 35% of revenue?
