One of the key elements in the global trade wars has been the rare earths sector, which play a critical role in fostering industrial development linked to renewable energy systems, electric vehicles and defence applications.

As the UAE progresses towards its ambitious economic diversification agenda, the country is exploring ways to localize elements of the rare earths supply chain.

Given local deposits in the UAE are limited, the country is focusing on the midstream processing and logistics, assisted by trade partnerships.

This move is part of a larger strategy to establish a strong presence in the midstream supply chain, benefitting from the UAE’s geopolitical neutrality and sovereign wealth fund power, which could help reduce global rare earth reliance on China, experts say.

Another strong indication that we're about to see other US-based rare earths companies receive material financial support from the US Department of Defense, as MP Materials recently received.

$USAR $CRML $MP responded strongly yesterday afternoon to this news.

#MKA $CTH however seemingly remain off the radar of most US investors (owing to their lack of NASDAQ / NYSE listings).

If (/when!) news breaks

in the next week or two

that HyProMag USA is going to be a recipient of major financial support from the US government, that lack of US listing will not matter.

The valuation disparity between MKA and CTH, and their US-listed peers, remains completely nuts.

I think this has already been covered several times. The patents that MKA have cover this and there's also the first mover advantage when setting up commercial relationships with Governments and funding ( Uk, Germany, USA are all current examples of this for MKA).

Interesting though Esd, your analysis of the rising NPV per Recycling Hub yesterday:

"Taking a starting point of $650m NPV from Julian's latest interview, potentially adding in tax credits (likely), subsidised / low cost EXIM debt financing (very likely), municipal / state / federal grant funding (I'd say we have a greater than 50% chance of getting at least one of these), DoD deal (possible) and increased underlying NdPr prices compared to those used for the $650m number and who knows where we get to!!?? It could approach $1bn NPV, for one plant!"

Given that Cotec have stated an intention to set up 6 to 10 Hubs

Germany are setting up one Hub and Europe could easily achieve 10 Hubs or more because there are 44 countries in Europe (27 in the EU) and once Germany sets up their Hub, it's easy to see how other European countries won't want to be miss out on securing their own supplies o RE's.

The expected Japan news of setting up Hubs could easily achieve 10 Hubs given their usageu of RE's is greater than the USA.

The Uk already has a Hub and I'm sure could set up more Hubs.

Then there's the rest of the world to consider.

Even if the USA, Europe, Japan and the Uk are taken in to account and based on the existing NPV and increasing value, the figures are enormous.

30 Hubs - $ 18 Billion to $ 30 Billion

Average at 40% to MKA $ 7 Billion to $ 12 Billion ( £ 5 Billion to £ 22 Billion)

That's the equivalent to a share price of roughly £14 per share (33 times current) up to £61 per share (146 times current)

And still so many other countries to get on board too.

Whether we move up, down or sideways due to a buy / sell ratio on any given day is a different matter.

The lower trend line currently remains intact, whether using a Line Chart, a Bar Chart, a Candlestick Chart, a C Bands Chart, whether using Auto Scale or Log Scale and whether using Parallel Lines or a simple Support Line.

China can try any game they like but it won't alter the trajectory of every other country needing to and determined to, secure alternative sources of RE supply.

China's blown it in that regard, which is good news for MKA.

Example unrelated to RE's. Russia held the EU and the Uk to ransom for the supply of Natural Gas. Now, almost without exception, other than the likes of Hungary, EU countries and the Uk have secured alternative sources of supply despite the far higher cost for both the Gas and the € Billions in infrastructure including pipelines and offshore LNG Hubs.

And there I was thinking it was the Japanese putting in 'buy' order requests at low ball prices in advance of any announcement, haha !
