RE: Forgent: Presentation by Chairman J.Parsons & Ed Mead [Director & Geo].25 Jun 2026 20:04
The following information which was in an interview three days ago, is available for anyone to listen to.
______
James Parsons
"It's been an exciting couple of weeks and we're just getting started here. Our transformation is complete here, we've cleaned up the balance sheet, we've built the portfolio up, we've now got a really solid mining portfolio in Western Australia and Green Rocks has already delivered some quite exceptional sampling results, which is encouraging, but the key message really for today is, we start drilling at Peak Hills right now, we're looking for Copper and Gold, and this is where the next chapter for Forgent begins."
Ed Mead, Geologist
"We've said the focus of this first drill programme which is now underway is Gold.
We've got two Geo's up on site at the moment looking at all the Copper targets that we plan to target, maybe not on this programme but on a very quick follow up programme.
The Green Rock sampling, I have to say that the rocks look pretty boring and the copper minerals that are in it, it's not like they're bright green or brght blue, its like a hue of green and brown, the results are sensational, they support the previous results from historical sampling and they also stepped out into new areas. It's clearly a project with great grades and next step there will be to try and determine the widths of the mineralisation.
We're now focussed on Peak Hills and we've touched on previously where we think there are mills existing that are around the project that we could effectively 'toll treat' to, so 'bang for buck', with the grades that we see, you'll be seeing quite a bit of news out of Peak Hills"
_______
So, they're planning to go straight to toll treatment for the Gold, if the grades are what they believe them to be, for swift cash flow, without the need for a Pre-Feasibility or a Feasibility Study, which they refer later to in the interview with a time frame of six to nine months.
For anyone who is unsure of what toll treatment is, here is a description by another Geologist:
'Basically, it’s about giving smaller mining companies (for whom it’s not practical or economical to build their own mill) the opportunity to process their ore at another company’s mill. At the same time, it gives the host company the opportunity to more easily obtain an optimum balance of oxide and fresh material to feed through their mill.
It opens up mining opportunities for a multitude of smaller companies that would otherwise be unable to realise their potential – which is a real boon for the mining industry!'
