Stop panicking18 May 2019 17:41
Have been folllowing this chat now for last week. The share price has fallen alarmingly and of course it is of concern. However, I detect a sense of panic in quite a few messages. Panicking never helped anyone - the only thing it will achieve is to make the pressing of the sell button a welcome alternative to hanging on in there. Of course I am not advocating shareholders to hang on to their TCG shares if they are uncomfortable owning them, but shouldnt we look at the positive. Thomas Cook seems to have funding, there are companies interested in their airline and perhaps the whole company. As far as I can see, the only people benefiting here are the MM's and the shorters (think manipulation of share price and extremely negative opinions on companies to the extent TCG have experienced should be illegal).
Hopefully TCG will issue an RNS on Monday morning to calm everyone down. I have lots of shares in TCG, and although I am not totally comfortable with my potential loss, I feel it would be foolish to sell quite yet.
