Quite a good post. The west has been totally wrong footed and begins to look like a rabbit trapped in the headlights. I remain history always repeats itself. I do not think this expansion will end with Ukraine but will then re focus to the Baltic states and the countries of Eastern Europe. Hopefully though the Russian people will start to get involved when the body bags start coming home.

I watched recently one of these where a detectorist dug up a huge hoard of English civil war coins. It equated to a years salary for a middle class family. How do you invisage the Ukraine problem will soon blow over. It is not the conclusion I have come to. Putin has called the west's bluff and now they are floundering around oraganising sanctions which will just pour oil on the flames. (it is an oil board afte all). Read the stories of Al Capone and Chicago and a picture appears of Russia and Ukraine. This is not about building a strong and secure Russia but ensuring the top dogs rule the roost. We as a country have let many in on so called golden visas so the Troajan horse is already here. How did novachoc get used in Salisibury and yet nobody was held to account. No this will not blow over quickly and Europe needs to wake up and smell the coffee.

Not going anywhere. Totally agree but it is not just this company. I have been hammered this week and even my boring shares have fallen. I keep removing any dividends and reducing my exposure but until we get sonme political reassurance nothing is likely to change. I confess to have not being able to understand the logic of Vlad. He has a huge military prescence along the borders of Ukraine and the Baltic states. He spent a lot on time helping Syria and has been marry up to China all at the risk of making a mistake and causing a war.
Then we look at the oil and gas price. We look at what Russia has lots of and guess what he is coining it. Moving his troops about is beginning to cause Europe serious problems in confidence. His military was costing a fortune but now it has earned his keep. This down today is even causing me a lot of financial pain. Worse I have no faith in our leaders and even less in Europe's..
