I look back to my days at JFS many many years ago and am really pleased to see it turning itself around. I have for me a nice holding and intend to just sit back and watch it rise. Suppose it is nostalgia...
Smoke and mirrors. Just raised the ask.... This share really is frustrating but it just keeps ticking .. At some point it might explode. Then it might not....
Are you buying today. Or are you skint...?
They have to fly the open off s yet. Lot of water between now and the same time next year.... Going to forego the offer but hold the small holding I have.
I have decided to enjoy the Summer if it ever arrives and leave my investments to fester. I shall keep and eye on the markets daily but that all. I am dismayed at what is happening in Ukraine. The human race is flawed and I fail to see what the Russians hope to achieve. At some point the Dis United Nations needs to be re configured. The security council is made up of members that perhaps should no longer be there. I have never understood why young people flock to get massacred and pay homage to old fossils. I am of an age that whatever happens makes little difference to me. I do worry for my grandchildren though. I have taught my own children in such a ind set that they would not throw a bucket of water over some of their leaders if they were on fire.
This share is dead in the water until somebody realises we need to start building economic resillience and stop relying on imports....I really hope all here get the recovery they deserve and reap the reward of loyalty...
I do not have a target price at this stage. There too many unknowns at the moment. Intend to just wait and make a decision when the time seems right. Not tempted to sell because most shares look less interesting.
This is now a recovery stock. Foundations have been relaid and its just a boring slow rise from today. Hard to find companies like this with quite illiquid shares..
I cannot see many taking up the open offer when it is considerably more than the current sp. It will almost certainly be taken over in the medium term but at what price. I think it will a lot higher than the current sp because the product is good. Its just going to be a buy a wait share..
This went ex dividend today. Proving to be a good investment.
This show that currently call themselves a government are always wrong. Everything they touch falls to pieces or goes wrong. Our medical centre which has hardly any doctors has a pharmacy but it appears that is now under threat. Another pile of grief on the railways has ruined my holiday. My car is about to undergo repair due to falling in a pothole. They have now discovered that EV's do not pay any road fund tax and because there is no tax on electricity there is a huge hole in the finances. A colleague of mine set off to take his daughter to a day at her new uni. Due to lack of charging points he clapped out and never made it. This windfall tax is barmy. Close down the NS and import oil from India probably. Mme Spin though has received instructions to stop using the term Mother and Father and instead call them parents. Seems mums and dad's are no longer PC... So all is not lost. It is going to take me a long time to recover from the last two weeks. Should have bought a HMO...
This has proved a good long term hold.. Slipped a bit but think it will come back...
Final results should be out in a couple of weeks. They need to give some signs of improvement. I am hoping they are beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel and hope it is not another trtain..
All my portfolio is on a down trend. The resolution of the debt ceiling may help tomorrow but until we get some confidence back its is going to be a tough call as many are putting their cash into banks and building societies at 5% with no risks up to 85000.....
Article in todays Times is spot on and heaps critcism on the government and greens for the demise of North Sea oil production. Norway has a floor. Uk does not. Putting your faith in importing oil and gas is ludicrous. My portfolio has lost over 6% in the last week. I have done one sell and two buys so far this month and am currently watching my dividends get gobbled up. Currently I am considering my options because the real elephant in the room is the housing market. It begins to look like 2008 all over again. Whilst I am mortgage free my childen are not. They are beginning to crumble...
It is hard to contemplate selling some of my holdings but I wonder if it is also a big mistake to just keep hoping. Hindsight though is easy..
