I think the penny will drop at some point when it is realised how many wells have closed and no one has drilled enough to replace them .... I expect a huge rise in the last three months of the year.
The problems with the debt ceiling will come and go but the military operation in Ukraine will grind on. At home I think the housing market has the potential to up end the Uk economy. The rises may are experiencing on their mortgages is simply unmanageable. The three D's will kick in.
Currently I see very few reasons to take risks when you can get 5-6% in the banks and building societies...
I have not bought or sold a single share in May and confess I cannot see any ction which will improve my will to do so.
I spoke to my usual check out at the super market today as to how busy it has been and he just said it hasn't. The state agenr says the same. Investments just do follow logic anymore and when you cannot understand why it is often best to either sell out of switch off. I am just grateful most of my holdings pay dividends other wise strarvation would loom large.
At some stage the penny will drop that lack of investment in the North Sea will bring about another crisis...
'I am the leader. Which way did they go?' 'Never in the course of history has so little been achieved for so few by so many'. Ask them what they want then tell them what they'll get... Seen it all before. Onwards and downwards!! I am feeling very political today and preparing to go down on one knee and swear at my cat!!
Having read the rns a number of times I have concluded as small pi's it is a good bet to hold and wait. Once the shares have been issued we may see all sorts of fireworks. I hope not though as a steady growth in the sp is better..
There is no doubt that people who invest in the stock market are masochists. I listen to Starmer this moring before turning off the radio. I have spent a week considering all my options and the last thing I want to do is spend my time worrying about
my worldly weath. All so far I have acheived so far a nerveous twiych..
