Spotting value is very hard at present. I tend to watch and watch. I gave up days trading about two or three years ago but with the current situation and having the time I am resuming to stay sane.. Sold the oilies and went into McColls/Halfords and SIG.
Two are working and one coming out of mothballs.. All the time keeping a weather eye on the oiiy..Take care

Fear you are right. Companies like this just do not set investors alight... Mind you look at Braveheart Investments. To years I held those and they never moved!! Now look where they are..

Happy with these initial prelims. Been in this a long time. Just wish they had released these at 07.00 or on Monday as many will miss the rns with the holiday..

Rightly or wrongly I have decided to hold these. It fits well into the current climate and is trading which many companies are not managing to do .. I bought on the dro and took the dividend but was well underwater so broke my rule and averaged down.
Now I am quite relaxed..

Heard a rumour they are turning it into a BMX and cycle area..

I was looking at MarineTraffic tonight and was amazed how many tankers were anchored of Southwold. I am watching this from the sidelines at the moment but will re enter when the time is right. I just cannot see a return to ''Normal'' or what it might be. It will take a lot to get Britain back to using things!! I am buying though in areas where companies are working already or about to start again and can!!

Never rely on one site for rns ..Always use two and before 07.45...Early birds ect..

They gave notice of results to be reported in June.. I would have liked to see an update today though..

I have been in this for a the long term. I just hope it can maintain its dividend and perhaps a few pence growth.. I am tempted to add but perhaps next month... The fog of the current malaise in the markets may clear a bit..

Year end tomorrow. Last rns says figures expected to be in line with expectations. AND still working. Hoping the news is that they are moving ahead as advised.. AT LAST

Two left early hours and two more have arrived already. Overall numbers though are down by quite a few!!

News here is so sloooow... Must be due a rns to announce the results. Would have thought working from home would for this company not present a major problem...

I keep speaking to people and hearing on tv '' When things return to normal''. I have spent a few days thinking about what the new normal is going to be like... Thinking outside the box and studying people comments and manners in handling lockdown... I have concluded that the old normal has gone for ever. The new normal is not a nice place to be. Britain may fair better than many other countries but for those who never had saved or own a property outright the pain will be pretty bad.. The housing rental market will descend into chaos....Already many are not paying their dues . I have sold out of oil completely and returning to where I used to be... Food.. People have to eat to survive. In good times they eat well but in hard time they eat but less well... But they eat.. I have money waiting but even day trading at present is difficult...So far my two attempts have stalled..

I added on Friday and this rise is nice to see. Sadly for me the average down still leaves me well underwater but perhaps
we are turning the corner..
