I totally agree with your comments. I sold here and bought back in. I seriously thought we would begin a steady climb but it has become moribund. After a superb May and June July became a damp squib. Each day something was announced to cause me more grief and woe. August started much the same in this business a day can make a big difference. The pile of AA I bought in June came good at last and have gone. The Scapa which I also bought in June have also been disposed of. Once more I am sitting on a tidy bit of loose change but Friday is not a good day to buy and in any event my watch list is a bit un inspiring. Next week I might spot a sign of where to go . I may add here because it deserves a up tick.
My problem is the same as many other investors who also have no crystal ball... I am patient but thankfully most of my long terms are infrastructure and that has performed solidly and still pays dividends.. With the good weather its easy to sit on ones hands but watch the beach here another lockdown looks inevitable...GL

My post got deleted. Seems no spaces allowed in Therapist... Not tempted yet to add here. Just have this feeling that we are being fed rubbish by those in charge. Bank of England now say they expect a smaller fall in the economy but a slower recovery. How can they even hope to predict such a prospect when there is still no sign of a vaccine. Too many uncertainties so we have a day traders dream come true.. Seems traffic on the roads is now above pre covid. So much for modal shift..

I hope he has some of those little blue pills. An erection to 15p is all that is needed to set me on the road to recovery...

I have one. I just find it has all sapped away. I sit in a chair and within a few minutes I resemble an Enquest share.. My life is in turmoil. I am lacking in direction . I am headed no where. I have become so good at social distancing I have lost all my friends and find myself dying for a holiday.
Perhaps I should buy a black horse. put on my mask and **** a couple of pistols , gallop up north and take up residence in a hostelry and order a half price scampi in a basket. Assuming of course they are open. Like our beloved leaders I am losing the plot..

They used to say a low hour Spitfire pilots career was often very short. A few made it through luck and built up their ability to survive. Once they achieved this they could start shooting at things.. Investing is similar. At present survival is the order of the day with the occasional pop at a dead cert. This share is moribund (I like that word) I have done almost not buying and selling for a month and like Romaron's hooker on the corner am finding reward hard to find. I am on my knees!!

Do not forget to buy some shares in this first..

Although the pubs and hospitality have been wiped out the bus and train companies are being hit harder and at present I cannot see how many of the smaller companies can survive. When they have gone and everyone has moved on putting Humpety Dumpty back together will be impossible. School contracts are hardly likely to come to the rescue until late September and even then there seems uncertainty. I hold shares in Rotala and have watched them fall by two thirds. I am reluctant to sell them but wished I had spotted how the work from home revolution would come about so quickly. I heard Canary Wharf still has only 10 percent of its workers return. That I recall is 90,000.....The roads are once more full of cars so we know the future..

Mine is chained to the riverbed. It just bobs up and down a bit like the sp here but recently it goes nowhere..
