i'm not convinced that HMG will be highly focused on protecting
those carillon jobs (although pensions issues should matter more).
reason being simply that UK employment has been very strong
for a long while now, albeit with wages etc. rather depressed. so
with labour market this buoyant, extra job-hunters will not be the
biggest problem in HMG's view, imo. (although of course from the
perspective of CLLN employees & families, will be horribly stressful).
most of the UK CLLN jobs will still have to be done by somebody, &
in many cases that will be by the ex-CLLN employees, if CLLN goes
under or is carved up. but the problem for the ex-s will be inferior t&c.
