cgmarmion. only IG can really answer that for you. but if this share
does resume trading, it’s highly likely that early trading would be both
very volatile and very high volume (whether the news that accompanies
a resumption is good or bad, or hard to decipher), so IG might well want to
keep margin rate relatively high until the share finds a level? IG won’t care
if it goes up or down, but they will want to make sure that punters can pay
their liabilities to IG, hence they charge higher margins for shares that will
move a lot. (it seems a bit unlikely to me that this share would come out of
suspension, but with peeps just shrugging, no price movement, low volume.)
