I glanced at it a couple of times, but can’t really claim to have read it, didn’t seem worth the time and effort.

it did remind me of the ramping website that a guy named liam used to run to promote cloudtag. when cloudtag went kabung liam posted up a rather grovelling message to say that he had only ever meant to provide “a broader view”, & help others by finding and sharing information, etc, etc. …. funny co-incidence, given the abman activities on both EUA & CTAG boards.

but i always thought that liam’s mea culpa read as quite genuine and actually distressed, i think in the apparent context that he was receiving some pretty threatening messages from pis who had been burnt and blamed him. (i think he posted his apology to beg people to stop trying to hunt him down.). overall, i thought that liam was just an unwitting useful idiot for CTAG, whereas DM/ IKN/ GMF seem imv far more cynical and deliberate re EUA. ajmho.

(interesting wording he uses; it smacks a little of defensive positioning in anticipation of FCA queries, but in reality i think that would be far too much to hope for, given the general ineptitude of the FCA. maybe he just wants to swerve the hassle from his fanclub from the coming cash crunch.)

Oh, i see, the ‘taking a break from social media from 23 Nov’ thing on twitter. … so that means he will miss all the excitement of the EUA asset sale in the next month?

if i remember correctly, various folks on this board have speculated that GMF78 on twitter is the same person that posts here as ‘Dimitryreacts’, who has repeatedly predicted that the EUA asset sale will definitely happen by the end of this year. (me, i think DR is also same person as IKN.)

ah, perhaps that’s a point where you and i differ, antha. …. to my mind, the crucial bit is whether the brokers *receive* cash to distribute, not whether amit has told them that a cheque will be on its way. (but perhaps i am just an old cynic.)

I think the two things that would be fairly convincing would be -

1) seeing an announcement in the public domain, issued directly by a large multinational company, confirming that they have bought tech/IP from cloudtag for a serious sum of money, where details of the announcement and that buyer’s existence & balance sheet can be independently verified.

2) investment platforms such as HL confirming that they have actually **received** significant sums of money from cloudtag, which they will now distribute to cloudtag shareholders.

…. anything else just amounts to amit telling people this, that and the other, but with no independent verification of public domain info possible. amit’s say-so alone doesn’t count for much, given the history, imv.

I’ll close the book on the ‘guess the xmas s/p’ next sunday evening, as we draw nearer to the judgement day. … so anyone else who wants to enter, ** you’ve got one more week left to enter a guess **.

- if I understand correctly the working hypothesis of some of the enthusiasts on here, regarding why the s/p here is so dismal when they believe EUA has such high quality assets, then presumably any sniff of war grinding to a halt should, if those enthusiasts are correct, result in a surging share price? …. so let’s see how that works out.

I’m currently long glen, so obviously like to hope that growup’s pessimism for this company proves wrong in the longer term, but his posts here seem absolutely fine — i.e. focused on the company and its prospects, some links to history, evidence and rationale presented, and not personally abusive to other posters. …. more or less what these share chatboards are meant to be for, surely?

11:02, in a way it’s quite refreshing to see such good old-fashioned straightforward ramping on this board. unlike much of the chat here, it doesn’t seem to rely on hints or lies about inside information, mysogynistic bullying or even obvious attempts to misrepresent what other posters have said.

09:12, phoenix, no problem by me if you continue to post views about cloudtag that differ from my own, so i don’t intend to filter you. i very seldom filter anyone on LSE, since i find it fairly easy not to pay that much attention to posters who are consistently off-topic, or just don’t have anything particularly interesting to say about a share / company.

i’m interested in chat about companies and shares, rather than random arguments and insults between anonymous posters that would belong better on twitter/facebook, though i do think it’s relevant sometimes to comment on activities of certain posters on certain boards who appear to be actively trying to manipulate a market, or may even be posting covertly as shills e.g. on behalf of a company.

unfortunately, some pis tend to over-identify with shares that they have invested in, so that they tend to misinterpret criticism /scepticism about that share /its BoD etc as being some kind of attack on them. generally better when investing if people can manage to be less emotional about their investments, imv.
