Helx2, why would a broker agree to release a client’s private email to some private overseas company that asks for it? - if the shares are not held by the broker as nominee, it’s nothing to do with them, and they are obliged to protect confidential client personal data.

1984investor, cloudtag would have pis’ emails if they bought extra shares directly from amit post de-list, and shouldn’t be hard for cloudtag /secret agent to work out how to contact major investment platforms.

but no clear mechanism why cloudtag would have emails for particular pis who used to have nominee holdings in platforms but then chose or were forced by the platforms to accept a certificate instead.

… not to mention, of course, people who may have changed emails over the years …

Coed, if there is any payment, key issue would be how HMRC choose to treat it (rather than what amit says he believes to be the case). it’s an issue that gets discussed from time to time on glencore board, since glencore ‘dividends’ have historically tended to be treated as capital returns rather than divis per se, but recently HMRC has been challenging that in certain situations.

If there genuinely was money in an escrow account, the money still belongs to the purchaser at this stage, and any interest payable would not accrue to any agent ( … not that most escrow accounts would be paying interest to anyone anyway …)

again, if the agents only have a small, trivial, quick piece of work to do, why did amit give them 4-5 weeks to do it?

I do hope not. nasty possibility from previous history that glen would over-pay. my old mate mark rich would turn in his grave.

But what would be the purpose of this supposed ‘agent’ leaving everything until the absolute last possible minute? — why have they not already contacted major investment platforms ( - who have already been trying to ask CTAG for info - ) and already asked certificated pis to supply bank details? — what on earth are they waiting for?

… on the face of it, if amit’s deals are genuine (lol!), it should have been very easy for the agent to just crack on as soon as they were instructed … since amit claims all the money is already sitting there in an escrow account, and no third party register changes have been accepted for many months. …. so what is the agent waiting for?

Bear in mind also, that *if* this is genuine (lol!) then in order to ensure payments are received into pi accounts by the 22nd, the mysterious secret ‘agent’ would have to have made contact with all certificated holders before that, in order to obtain & ratify their correct current bank details, etc ( … noting also that amit has implied that people should be submitting WEN-B type forms also…) — so pretty darn tight time-scale for that to happen.

the history of cloudtag does not suggest that amit is particularly good at delivering on time, to put it mildly.

blimey, for once i agree with something trumpet has written! … yup, it beats me too why anyone would be a cheerleader for him (unless of course they were paid to do just that).

but maybe some of amit’s cheerleaders on this board, such as denzal, mrcoffee, pikeyK, hubba, manfromdelmonti, 1984investor, IPman27, etc, could explain why they are so positive about amit despite the many, many missed deadlines and failed promises that litter the last 7ish years of cloudtag history. i’d love to hear them attempt to explain why they are so enthusiastic about amit’s leadership of this share.

Re 11:31, hiring yellow string-vest may actually be part of cost-saving measures, since the recent cut & run by a prominent twitter & telegram ramper, at about the same time as a cut & run by a particularly prominent lse chatboard ramper, rather suggests EUA may have stopped paying certain individuals to ‘promote’ the company’s shares. jmo.

Helx2, i simply meant, when brokers/platforms such as HL have contacted cloudtag themselves to ask what is happening, then why hasn’t amit just told them who the agent is?

… if for some weird reason, the agent isn’t ‘ready’ to act re contacting brokers until the very last minute of amit’s purported timeline, that still wouldn’t stop amit from simply telling HL something like:

‘this is who the agent is, these are their contact details, & they will be in touch with you in the next xxx days.’

? what possible reason could he have not to tell the brokers / investment platforms that when they have contacted him asking for info? — supposedly the agent is already chosen and instructed, the money is already in escrow ready to be posted out, etc …. ? so why zero response at all back to HL and other professional platforms?
