amit’s never claimed that the ‘agent’ is a broker - come to that, he’s never given any explanation at all about who or what the supposed ‘agent’ is.

personally, i rather doubt that any such agent even exists, but if they do, it’s probably someone like evri or yodel given the abysmal delivery performance to date.

meanwhile, an interesting game that *could* potentially still be played would be to make payments to a small number of selected pis, to raise excitement and anticipation amongst amit fans, and then quietly sell yet more cloudtag shares on the back of that (… while all other pis continue to wait and wait for their frequently promised but never-quite-there payout). - just an idea!

From time to time some folks post on this chatboard that all the holders wrote off their ctag shares long ago … the current flurry of posts clearly shows that’s not true.

meanwhile, yet another promise made and broken, another deadline missed by cloudtag.

one of the oddest things about cloudtag is that the more promises amit makes and then breaks, the firmer the belief seems to become for some posters that amit must be telling the truth. — i.e. more promises & more failures = more trustworthy.

in pretty much any other context, the reverse would apply (e.g. a plumber who promises and fails to turn our 30 times would not be seen as 6 times more trustworthy that one who only promised and failed 5 times.)

in that sense, i think his writing skills are actually very good; i think it’s likely that the update are often worded so ambiguously very deliberately.”

I’ve already suggested one possible update on 9/3 at 19:38. but as an alternative, how about simply:

“The company is delighted to confirm that the agent has now successfully completed their process. In the next stage, shareholders who have not already been contacted directly will be asked to confirm their details via the agent’s portal. The agent has advised that they will provide further information about the portal by [piece of string / next delay].”

On the plus side for EUA, sharebel seems to have stopped posting here. he’s one of the most powerful reverse indicators on these chatboards, so maybe there’s a spike in prospect if he’s left (to spend all those winnings from his “very large” COPL holding?).

i am pretty sure some people are still getting paid by EUA, but i suppose that’s not quite the same thing.

Don’t forget, they’ll also need to allow time for pis to state what their various currency preferences are for receiving the payouts. how nice of amit to be so accommodating.

you’re being a bit of a melodramatic snowflake, 1984investor.

i believe there is no meaningful substance to cloudtag or amit’s promises, and i post that honestly held personal opinion here. if you or others don’t like reading that opinion about amit and cloudtag, (a) you don’t have to come on the lse forum in the first place, do you? and (b) it is very easy and free to simply filter me, and then you would not see any of my comments.

it is amit himself who has been responsible for the very drawn out, fruitless, and arguably cruel, treatment of cloudtag holders over the years, not me.

the lse chatboards are for people to discuss companies, BoDs, markets and shares. and that is what i am doing.

as you know perfectly well, lse do not restrict the chatboards to holders only.

if you don’t want to read a share chat forum that has comments from both holders and non-holders, then you don’t have to read or post here. some people who only want to read comments from other holders use platforms such as telegram or facebook — nothing stopping you from doing that.

Amit’s made plenty of other updates making promises of things that would happen by specific dates. but those things then simply didn’t happen, time after time.

i see no reason why this update will work out any differently from all the other ones; i.e. no verifiable, significant payments will be completed, more excuses will be made, and there will be yet more delays, with no clear conclusion / ending.

and yet, amit’s fans and cloudtag enthusiasts will bizarrely, stupidly, continue to profess belief that’s cloudtag will come good one day.

I think amit has known what he’s doing perfectly well throughout. i also think he’s got quite good communication skills — problem is, he’s using them for different purposes imv than most pis would want him to.

…. wondering what form the next delay update will take? … how about something like:

“the company is delighted to announce that the agent’s payment process has successfully completed. any shareholders who have not yet received payment are reassured that funds have been set aside in trust, and further updates will be made in due course how to access these.” [speculation only, no inside info claimed, of course!]
