Folks here seem generally more interested in talking about war in ukraine ending, than about sale of EUA assets … this current pump phase of the share price very much resting on the (highly questionable imv) assumption that a ceasefire in ukraine would somehow make EUA ‘assets’ much more marketable.

EUA couldn’t sell its assets *before the way.

… presumably once trump magically transforms EUA’s poor quality, loss-making and unsaleable ‘assets’ into something that someone might actually want to buy?? - and once trump has magically resolved EUA’s acute need for additional cash funding.

? since when is expressing a different opinion about a share ‘sabotage’? … that’s a bit paranoid, and kind of misses the point about what share chat boards are for.

… perhaps better imv would be to read all on-topic posts, whether positive, negative or mixed, and think about the evidence and analysis involved, and then to weigh up the different arguments and issues, using some common sense also, and come to one’s own opinion, rather than simply ‘believe’ one party or another.

What *might* be difficult for EUA though, under current sanctions regimes, could be for EUA to raise new money via london capital markets / london placings etc, *in order to channel new money into russian subsidiaries*.

EUA could presumably raise money for other purposes without sanctions, but raising in order to fund russian ops might possibly fall afoul of UK sanctions. (? similarly, possibly be tricky given putin’s sanctions against UK to extract money from russian subsidiaries back into the pockets of UK shareholders?)

it might be that some of the idea of a kazakh listing would be to enable fund-raising for russian ops outside of the UK market, or to allow some russkie investor who would be under sanction in the UK to put money in outside london.

(though i think a main part of the point of a kaz listing is simply to foster the illusion that EUA has some kind of plan B, having utterly failed to sell any assets.)

12:18, del, generally speaking most hedge funds, proprietary trading desks of investment backs, sovereign funds etc won’t disclose what stakes they have in what companies and countries, unless they are above some legal disclosure threshold. —->. so you and i won’t usually know what most /investment banks etc are invested in … why would they want to tell anyone unless they had to, or unless they were trying to be an activist investor to agitate for a BoD change?

my point is simply that EUA is a london-listed share, that is not suspended and is freely trading on the london market. anybody who is able to buy shares in the UK can buy EUA shares — so if it’s such an obvious slam dunk that trump will end the war in ukraine, and that will then lead EUA shares to multibag, then why aren’t big international investors just piling in? … ? what makes people like ibizamatrix think they know something important about EUA’s value that e.g. KSA don’t?

( e.g. does anyone know of any large chinese investment banks, hedge funds or insurers who were compelled to divest all assets with russian connections when the war started??)

Del, EUA is a *london* listed company, that is not under any sanctions, if the BoD are to be believed. EUA shares still freely traded in UK markets which are open to international buyers.

international hedge funds etc have policy to make themselves money by doing whatever they believe will make themselves money, providing they can’t be seen to be conducting themselves illegally.

there is nothing whatsoever to stop e.g. a london or singapore listed hedge fund from buying london listed EUA shares, or to prevent folks like INA, KSA or BIA from buying those london listed shares, if they think likely to be a big multibagger.

& no, it is not the case that all large scale professional investment houses all round the entire globe had to sell all investments in russia.

it’s not a tier 1 asset.

“tier 1 scale” was the term eua used, i think, almost as meaningless a phrase as their much repeated “around the table” ****e.

probably many similarities in portfolio, slightly lower tech weight than you, partly b/c some pharma & big oil interests. (E,g. shell & astra been very good to me) aviva, my largest insurer. also holding lgen, but less, and only a little piece of PHNX, i can never quite decide what to think of that one.
