Perhaps part of the problem is a similar situation that putin and trump have both created around themselves?

Tbh, i think you are rather over-generalising about zionists.

some zionists have done pretty awful things, while others have not. (and there’s a pretty diverse set of ideas amongst zionists about what zionism actually is, and what means could reasonably be used to pursue it.)

just as some conservatives have done bad things, others good things… while probably some christians have done reprehensible things, but some crispies have done great stuff… some muslims have been lovely folks, other terrible folks… and as for the lib-dems, well, just complete the sentence for yourself.
