The best advice i can give to new investors is only invest funds that you will not need to call on. Sell when you WANT TO not when you HAVE TO. That way you will avoid losses due to set backs like this. Hold your nerve and sell when your target is reached. ATB Speedy

Hi All. Gold futures on the COMEX are $100/oz above spot. The criminals that run the COMEX love it and i can guarantee that on or before contracts terminate the POG will be well below to make sure the speculators end "up out of the money". This has happened so many times now that it amazes me why the speculators engage. If you want exposure to gold then just buy physical gold from a trusted dealer and hold. There is no leverage but so, so, much more secure. To gain leverage use GGP stock and watch it outperform. ATB Speedy

Hi All. The POG needs to break above $3400/oz like a knife through butter and hold for a week. This has not happened, yet. Consolidation phases can last a long time and after the meteoric rise it will take a bit longer. Th e banks are desperate to keep the lid on the rise and will not give in easily. When they do finally give up i suspect their next line of defence will be circa $4k/oz and that will fail also.

The gold bull run is just getting started and at the moment i see no reason for it to stop. ATB Speedy

Hi All. It is blatantly obvious that the banks do not want a print above $3400 and will throw vast amounts of short bets at the price to keep it below. They will fail and gold will see new ATHs in very short order. Physical Gold purchases around the globe are increasing even with the high price and ETF inflows are huge, with western investors starting to realize what is going on.

Hi All. The 56k shares sold on opening is a classic short play. Just keep your nerve and hold or buy. Just imagine what a doubling in the POG would do to our bottom line. Hi PJ70. Like it or not $9k/oz, in the not too distant future, is almost guaranteed. In the last 50 odd years it has gone from $40 to £3400 so 9k is not a dream. The nightmare you are describing will can be eased by holding your family wealth in physical gold. ATB Speedy

Hi Droverman. There are many ways to try and predict the future POG. This time it really is different. Debt levels are off the scale and the fall of the USA empire and the $ is compounding the issues. The geopolitical story is getting worse and worse and talk of a new gold backed currency is gaining momentum.

I see no point in trying to value gold in the future against the $ as it could go to infinity when hyperinflation hits. Best to just ask yourself "do i own enough physical" ATB Speedy
