Hi Charlie156. It is not a matter of if, but when, gold will reach $4k/oz. Almost every pointer i use is showing a much higher POG.

Hi All. A quick glance at the 6 mth chart for gold tells you that the consolidation phase, between $3400/oz and $3300/oz is still ongoing. The banks do not want to see a finish above and are at record levels on the short side. When the short squeeze happens the rise will be short and sharp to $4k/oz. At the moment this phase shows no sign of changing and could last some considerable time, hence my selling a few Britts to buy here on this dip. ATB Speedy

Hi Trippy. The question is "why?" Are the shorts just here for short term profits or is there some other reason. Facilitate IIs a cheaper buy in price, T.O. (unlikely) or maybe Biswas avin a larf!!!!!!. We will only ever know once the dust settles. ATB Speedy

Hi Toby. Apologies for the late reply. My assumption that the shorts are in control has nothing to do with reported % levels of shorts. It is based on the carefully placed sales at the low points in 25 and 35k lots. With volume really low it does not take much to spook the market down with a few well placed sales. ATB Speedy

Hi all. The fundamentals are very very good with a great POG, FCF, life of mine extension, new finds, Hav FS and many other factors will soon see this recover. The shorts have the upper hand at the mo and i feel for the folks that have been scared/forced into selling at this silly low price. ATB Speedy

Hi Kent. A lot depends on how fast SD wants to go. Using profits from Hav to expand Hav will be organic growth but I suspect SD will want to move super fast and if or one have no problem with that as long as the debt is very short term with good conditions. ATB Speedy

Hi Bamps. I bow to your superior mining knowledge. With the POG and more being found at Telfer I suspect the borrowing to be manageable and trust SD to come up with a good solution

Hi Jungle. Whilst i agree with most of what you say i disagree with your preference for debt to fund Hav. Borrowing from banks for a mining project is extremely costly and carries many pitfalls. I prefer a capitol raise (if needed). That way we take on the debt and keep 100% control. This may be a muted point as Telfer could come up with the goods for Hav to be developed with no debt. The next 6/12 mths will be very interesting and will make the future clear. ATB Speedy

Hi All. Strange events in the gold space. Tariffs on Swiss 100oz gold bars into the USA, Trump meets Putin, physical gold purchases at record levels.

My view is the tariffs will be dropped, Putin will run rings around trump and all hell will break lose and ATHs in gold will be smashed as it climbs towards $4k/oz this year.

Its not about the $ POG its about how much physical you hold.

For a short term punt i would say a silver miners ETF is warranted. ATB Speedy.

Hi All. Reading about lths selling is a bit sad. With investing the main things are buy low sell high, buy the dipps sell the rise, do not fall in love with a stock, have a target and stick to it. Unfortunately some here have not done it correctly and have fallen for the manipulators story. To sell after a major pull back seems a bit daft especially with so much news due. Some folks should not be investing in mining stocks and should invest in funds instead. ATB Speedy
