Hi Floater. Same here mate. I put £20k into a pension (Allied Dunbar) early 1970s. After fees, in 2010 it was worth £45K. Take inflation into account and it showed a negative return. To top it all i will have to pay the tax man his share of the remains. Pensions are for the providers and HMRC not the investors. Much better putting funds yearly into an ISA, or gold. ATB Speedy
