Hi Jonno. Tally was recently mentioned here and after doing some research i confirmed that CGT is payable on gains from gold held in a tally acct. There are quite a few of these types of gold backed debit card schemes and all carry a CGT liability. Without doubt the best approach to avoid CGT is to buy Britts or Sovs and store at place of purchase. If cash is required they are highly liquid and just a click away. Hi Jonno. It is not just the long term bond market that is in trouble the short term bond market also guarantees a loss with the present levels of inflation. Some investors are willing to take a loss with bonds rather than loose it all in riskier "assets". The elephant in the room is the derivative market with untold trillions of $s at risk of disappearing into a black hole when counter party risk raises its head and a domino effect consumes the lot. Hi All. The USA banking system along with Europe and the UK is in a mess with unrealized losses mounting. The level of debt around the globe is increasing as is inflation and rates. This is a disaster in the making and is happening now not latter. Soon govs around the globe will not be able to service their debt without creating more debt, this is madness. Gold and silver are responding to this massive problem as investors go risk off and look for a safe haven.
The smart money knows this and will be looking to invest in the gold miners to leverage their exposure in the gold space. SD and our BODs are positioning GGP to take maximum advantage of this coming inflow of funds. Never have i seen a more compelling investment opportunity than what GGP offers. I am just waiting for gold to hit ATHs and some of my Brits will be converted to more GGP stock. ATB Speedy

Hi Starbright. Congrats for selling up in double figs (maybe 13p), but i am here for larger rewards. You say we are exposed to a funding risk due to j/v structural changes. I can assure you if said changes do occur we are in a position to acquire funding and SD and our BODs will never allow "structural changes to the j/v" to effect GGP adversely. With gold continuing its massive bull run and our mine having a low AISC all i am focusing on is maybe 20+million ozs with a POG @$2500/oz. I will leave you to do the math. Hi All. As reported over on GGPChat, the stock on loan has reduced by over 30million. Maybe the 24million trade the other day was a short closing their position. Only another 40million to go and we should see some improvement in the SP. They know a raft of news is coming and do not want to risk it for such small gains shorting at 8p. Onwards and upwards.
