George Frangeskides, Chairman at ALBA, explains why the Pilbara Lithium option ‘was too good to miss’. Watch the video here.
Stokey. A most logical answer and quite supportive of the company's fiscal practices. It's too bad JW and AR didn't think the same when they awarded themselves huge bonuses last year!
The real question is why?
What are the likely options?
1. The bod have little regard for even a few potential investors?
2. The bod have destroyed their formerly loyal investors holdings / created such anymosity that it's making potential new investors to look elsewhere.
3. The bods actions and workings with Cenkos and MMS have caused so much confusion and uncertainty for the SP that even large contracts cannot generate momentum.
Feel free to chime in......
Chrisatrdg. Before the last investor meeting I said the first question to the BOD should be why aren't the putting their own money in now in view of the supposed £1.5b pipeline with 30% conversion rate? Did anyone ask this because nobody mentioned any response here. It should be the first question everytime. If management don't have the surefire confidence to invest in their own work and promises, why should any investor? A lot of ramping going on lately......not a good sign!
Razorshulz. I can promise you that all JW's broken promises were directly responsible for the dramatic decline of the SP and my consequent loss of £25k. Buyers very beware here.....
Stokey. For someone here so well researched in the company background, it seems you've overlooked how many times JW stated FID is due?
Jabido. I note our still resident shorter/seller took only 9 minutes after the RNS issuing to begin their regular activities. Once again I'm not expecting any notable rise in SP!
Islandmaggee FID
Stokey. You're sounding rather rampy this morning - IM find is due........really. Didn't you forget to mention the small matter of the judicial review, not happening any time soon
Mikey. Check how SP has depreciated for each recent raise, then you might change your mind!
As a previous LTH, each time JW reveals news I am reminded of the boy who cried wolf. He's promised so much and constantly under delivered. His credibility is shot.......just look at the SP after the largest ever contract harl has won.
Stokey. THIS IS ME DOING DYOR.
Has it ever occurred to you or any others here that JW has made an agreement with UK gov to purchase Belfast and Appledore, to be used by both parties as a bargaining tool against the Bab / Bae monopoly?
The 15 year TOBA ends 2024 so negotiations must be getting underway soon. How convenient to delay the FSS contract and introduce another 'British bidder'?? I contend that JW / harl credibility benefits by highlighting a huge pipeline while effectively providing ukgov a big stick and carrot to bring the big boys back in line for the new TOBA.
Some here have wondered if bab/bae are working our SP........this could be the reason.

Bubble. As usual, your response is a lot of hot air. Too much of that and the bubble will burst! I recall BJ's visit to Appledore and his warm words too......still no shipbuilding contracts. Why would anyone believe Ben Wallace would change the status quo? Harl is an oversized garage and will never be a factory anymore. To think otherwise, as I was led to believe by JW, is just wishful thinking. Look at the SP.......there is the truth!
Sokey. To enlighten you and many others here who are blindly ignoring the facts, the answer to my own question is 2003 (Belfast) and 2002 (Appledore). So why do we believe we are likely to secure a new build, least of all a flagship or FSS any time soon........with a market cap of 25m?? Any takers amongst all you smart investors here?
In which year did harl build their last complete boat/ship? Why do we believe anyone would grant us a contract when, besides one robotic welding machine, we obviously lack the up to date machinery, technology and personnel?
Let's stop this ship from sinking!
Damned predictive text.......should be "long pipeline!"
Weren't infa going to develop one of these? Is it too late to add it to the looking pipeline?

Thanks OT and Si. If the current rate of drop continues, I might end up with quite a few more shares than I sold??
I sold out yesterday in anticipation of today's world events. My investment of +£30k has been reduced to £6.5 but I still have confidence there will be a turn around , at which point I will jump back in and hopefully recoup at least some losses. GLA
