@gkb47 the mum test is equivalent to what John Selwyn Gummer did to his son during the mad cow disease crisis. I don't know how many people went off to buy burgers on that say so and I doubt this will sway opinions already formed either.
CW I hope your parents recover really quickly, and provide e some positive data for SNG001!
However your comment about over 65s and zoom is a bit wide of the Mark. I and my friends are all late 60s and early 70s and very proficient in zoom.
But you are assuming 20 million doses, and we have only ordered 5 million. Don't think that there won't be every country seeking to buy doses. Has anyone asked Pfizer and Moderna etc how many doses they can produce per month?
Only front line NHS staff will get the vaccine first (and I expect the MPS etc) I would be willing to take bets that it will be the end of summer before we have 10 million people vaccinated, say 40+ weeks from now, after all the probable delays due to adverse effects. According to current antibody decay research that may then mean these 10 million then need reinnoculating.
Much more happy to be invested in Synairgen.....
Saintsmith, I agree that proof of a vaccine will need to be tested. I also do not think that the new vaccines will be fully successful. I am very invested in NCYT. However I do not see us all being tested before and after getting our flu jabs to prove it’s taken. My vision of the future of C-19 is very much a flu model, where different mutations of the virus are vaccinated against in at risk groups each year, according to WHO guidelines. But no testing will be required. I agree that until we reach that state testing will be required, but the value of the company is determined by its long term future prospects.
Saintsmith, your assertion that vaccines will always need testing to prove they have worked flies in the face of all current practice. Once the vaccines are proven and readily available, in a couple of years possibly, testing Requirements will fall off rapidly.

I note your description of bankruptcy risk. However you must know that what you are describing is part of the risk management that Burford will be undertaking as a matter of course, and certainly as we move forward into Covid cases.
I appreciate that some investment may have been made under assumptions that may have now changed, but the danger of the opposition going broke is ever present - it is a known tactic of certain companies, particularly when they see themselves in a no win position.
Read the RNS from last night and this morning.
The shares being issued aren't free
They are sending out a circular today telling you how to buy your 1:37 shares.
The share placing has completed for £80 million, the other share issue is just starting.
Just seen this interesting article.

If you believe that the company has a good pipeline of well-protected drugs, and that half of them will be successful, then it is a matter of timing. The chances are that TILS will drift a little lower during October until there is more news. Then the flow of news probably will lead to a significant increase in the SP.
If you don't believe that them don't invest - simples!
You will be very lucky if you invest at the absolute lowest point between now and the next news. We none of us do that (or very rarely)
Just do your own research, assess what you think the best entry price is, what your best exit price is and do what you think satisfies your investment strategy. All of us have different strategies, different entry and exit prices. Do what you think is best for you.
Excuse me for musing, but of 7.7 billion people worldwide, about 10% react badly to Covid-19 and Interferon works on 14% of those, so that is about 108 million people worldwide that will benefit from SNG001. That's before COPD treatments etc Seems like a good investment to me.

Correct Joey Diamond, the trial details were updated on Wednesday. But... the revision is on the Covid-19 trial. No news on the COPD results, which are expected now(ish). Personally I don't need to see results today, and I do understand that different strategies may require different approaches, so I don't mind if people try to bolster their own needs, and change emotions to achieve that.
Which came first the chicken or the egg? You can't die until you are infected. The more people that are infected the more people are likely to die. You are trying to rewrite the history that we lived through only 4 months ago. I know many people have short memories but...…..
Really glad there are three shops on the East Coast of UK refusing entry for refusal to wear masks. I hope and trust there are many more than three. You are pursuing a course which will lead to anarchy in UK, which will get us into a worse situation than we already are.
NewbieRookie, there is much evidence that masks do NOT affect oxygen intake. There is no discrimination in requiring people to adhere to government guidelines, or in refusing anyone access to a shop. You are mistaken in the fact that deaths peaked before lockdown too. In UK lockdown started on 23rd March. Peak infection happened on or about 2nd April, 10 days afterwards.
Look to your own facts before casting aspersions.
