L7, Petroatlantic has a gross tonnage of 54865 tons. At 7.33 barrels per ton that gives approximately 400k bbl, simples. The capacity has nothing to do with the dead weight. There may be additional factors such as the lightness of the crude, and difference between metric tonnes and imperial tons, but that’s near enough for me. The Petroatlantic is one of the smallest ships in the shuttle fleet. I of course stand to be corrected, DYOR.
Londoner7 the Petroatlantic only has a capacity of 400kbbl. So the parcel can’t be 500k.
Snowcameron, the Petroatlantic has a capacity of about 400k Bbls. The Aoka has a capacity of 600k bbls, which gives some leeway in the event of bad weather. So if the parcel is capacity then recent production is 12.5 kbopd
Sorry I am just reading the other threads. If the next offload from the AM is tomorrow and the packet size is similar to the first then the production over the last month is almost 11000 bbl/day.
Tiggerman, I am sure that somewhere in the CMP it was stated that they planned a tanker every 44 days, given some weather downtime. At 350000 bbl in 44 days currently gives us an average of 8000 a day, and at $66 per barrel gives an income of North of $23 million per shipment, or $525,000 a day. Going up to 13000 bbl/day obviously increases everything by 67%. Let us pray that after 6 months we are still achieving that flow rate - the share price will really start reflecting the earnings power then.
InJamesWeTrust, you must do what you think is right for you. As we all do. Personally I was impressed and will buy your chunk as it comes onto the market! (Well possibly, and depending upon whether your opinion influences the markets) there will inevitably be setbacks, but this management team look to me to know exactly what they are doing, and capable of dealing with them as they arise.
InJameweTrust, I too was impressed by the presentation. To cover the amount of ground in the time and be understood was good. Not everyone is blessed with a good presentation style, and as shareholders we are paying Dr Trice for technical ability rather than presentation ability. I thought it perfectly OK to tell someone clearly not on top of his brief that he already had the information. ( apart from anything else if Trice had given the wrong figures or had been unable to bring them to mind he would have looked much worse.)
Quite obviously they should have employed you to give the presentation, you would have done it so much better.
As a planner I only hope that the Herrenknecht SBR construction and proving can be brought forward to take advantage of the rapid shaft progress, otherwise there may be a hiatus until it is delivered. However since it is in Strabag’s control I trust that that will be happening in the background. I have been bitten by this type of problem in the past and it’s not fun.
IMO Trump couldn’t give a toss about his country, he is conducting a massive share price distortion orchestrated by his “Trade Wars” to make more billions for his backers. And selling it to the dumb Republican voters as MAGA. Meanwhile distracting attention of the easily offended Democrats by wailing about immigration. (And making further billions for the people running the camps, like all the privately owned jails that contain all the possible Democrat voters)
You’re not thick, Neil22, and I hope not a believer in fake news. We are all sitting tight here awaiting the FO completion and the RNS. It will take as long as the lawyers can manage to spin it out for their fees, and to suit whatever other purposes there may be. The Farminee May perhaps be waiting for a bad news event that is expected so they can overlay it with a good news event - not unknown!
Nuri123looks like a shorter that was betting yesterday’s price movement would carry on going down. Repeated posts hoping to limit the loss. Shame it went the other way.
Senior planning manager for a construction company, working on major building contracts mostly in London and the South East.
I’m afraid that BJ doesn’t just limit his thoughts to within the M25, he limits them to within his own brain.
I don’t believe this is the reason. The share price has factored in the market change, cold weather etc already. Which is why the price almost fully recovered by market close. I believe is must have been a shorter moving the market to avoid a problem. Still, it meant I made a good return on an unlooked for investment in a day....
I didn’t quite get under 2300, but a few pence above.
Anyone know the reason behind this morning’s SP drop? 2300 was a long way down against yesterday’s broker rating of 4000
