Enjoyed that, thanks Star.
Old news, pre spud.
Mine too.
I think we shall see a significant rise later today....
Looks like there will be decent volume today, just need to ride out this little market storm and should see it rise from now on.
My top up this morning is showing as a sell, so don't believe the buys vs sells numbers.
I don't think the fundraising is of any real consequence. I'd just be interested in people's views as the regard investors and majors will have if we find oil. Obviously great to find oil but then I did well out of RKH's find only to see it erode away (luckily got out way before that).
I wonder if this share will do the same - huge rises on a find but gradually erode away over time if the follow up doesn't happen. Any thoughts?
Share price has clearly been affected by the negativity of the environmentalists and the Bahamas government comments etc. Assuming we spud in the next few days I would expect to see a modest rise as people wouldn't want to be out. Can't see it rising that much though (hope I'm wrong).
However, what happens if we hit big oil...
Will the share price rise as much as we all expect or hope it will? I have my doubts now, as surely the market will still be suppressed by the environmentalist actions going on. Even if we all know there is big oil in the ground, will the majors and the major investors be put off by the uncertainty that they won't be able to get it out of the ground if the Bahamas government give in to the (global and local) environmental movement?
Or will money just talk.
Either way, the share price might be held back somewhat.
Approximately, 5.8p with 4b shares = 4.5p with 3.2b shares
Difference is sentiment and oil price I guess.
I don't expect an RNS in the morning. They already addressed and rebuked the rumour in the last RNS. It's as if they knew it was coming right...
I doubt the CPR will have any impact on share price.
Icemax departure will.
CPR or Icemax departure?
The fact that we are awaiting a big RNS this week, I guess no news is bad news, therefore a little drift on the share price is inevitable?
Q2 2021 according to that article.
Good RNS - at least
No RNS - nope (but maybe a blue day)
Not doom and gloom, just at bit of realism. I'm still very optimistic.
Volume sold is 3 times that of bought today, yet the price has risen.
I assume they are not all listed or something else?
Thanks for the responses. Nice to understand more of the background.
Over the last 70 years many exploration drills have been made in the Bahamas waters, as identified in many BPC presentations.
Does anyone have any insights into why, when it seems that even though every previous drill showed oil, that nobody has ever thought to tap into all those oil reserves before?
A genuine question (am invested here) just been wondering why only now.
Willec, I think Harry meant the board should be 'marketing' (selling) the business by broadcasting with RNSs.
Anywhere between 4 - 20p, but I'll settle with 5p so as to not be too disappointed.
This RNS states that the Percy 1 drill is fully funded.
I thought it wasn't actually and I thought that was what was holding the shareprice down (along with the placing but stand corrected on that one (Chesh)).
So if this RNS tells us this is not the case, why hasn't the shareprice risen on what can only be interpreted as very good news. Shares always rise on good news.
What follows is IceMax setting sail..spud...(hopefully) game changing oil discovery...
What am I missing? Surely not just games here?
BPC does confound me at times.
