I noticed OVG ping this morning, looks like some people decided it would be a good short term play too take some profit....then buy back in ! However, still very decent prospects so much like WHY , no one should be undually alarmed. Tis abit scary, market ending up 1% today after the budget, record borrowings, not much else, yada yada yada. I do note PTY had another decent stunt, Ive got one or two "candidates" on the list that Im going through that may prove too have some mileage.....

you have too consider is that after a 700% upward stint in 4 days, their had too be a retrace. their is still plenty of value if you can afford too hold. Selling out at a loss , if you dont need the money, hello ............. Sometimes I wonder whether people are "investing" , or just looking too throw away their money...if its the latter, Ill give you my account details and you can throw it away into their ! Restraint if youcan, if you cant, you should seriously be thinking about whether your game plan is a decent play of the game !

decent day for PTY. Still some cost restructuring too go from the training arm sale, but aslong as that doesnt take aslong as the costs from the 06 foregin sale too realign, should make a decent return next year. Just above NAV at this price, still undervalued....but no ones really noticed so ssshhhhh :)

Uriney, sometimes we all look at somethings and their not for us. If you take MXP for example, Ive been informed that my ass shoudl be in that.....However Im not.....and most probably, it will bite me lol....but I just wasnt feeling it. Well miss things at times we wished we were in on, othertimes people will look in and miss the things your in on, tis the nature of the game, unless you have an unlimted supply of capital. Ill try and get a posting on my feelings on PCI tommorrow after work depending on how work goes Uriney. Thinks depend alot also on timespans, if you can tie up capital when things dont go quite the way you want in the short term, then it helps. IF not, then theirs always something afloat in the sea :)

Thats probably not a bad starting point in financials. Its abit easier for me as thats my day job, and I understand not everyone can or wants too look at numbers all day :)

I started too run the numbers for pic, but then I started running into bonds and a whole lot of things I wasnt expecting too run into. Im taking a bit more time too go through it in light of everything I was finding (have you read their PDF !!!) As soon as I know exactly where Im at, I will post on it buddy, just want too be sure Im happy with my numbers, no point in posting otherwise.

in terms of research, I tried the charts, and whilist the charts hold value for some (I know OB uses them for certain things), good old fashioned bean counting serves me well...(OB also counts beans too). Get too know the companies your looking at, look at the books, look at the news, heck, even look at the charts if you can interpret them like people interpret them. IF a company has a decent sound financial footing, your off too a good start. IF it doesnt, you have too look too factioring in "what ifs", "mabye`s" and where the world currently is.... Im a sad bean counter, so the amount of beans in the can is where I start :)

what I posted the rundown on OB...or was that one not for me :) MXP actually has a decent profit opportunity if you have the balls...unfortunatly, from all the cases of beer people keep bringing me, I dont know my arse from my elbow.... :) lol

I am reliably informed that whilist risky, MXP , offers a very good opportunity....and it may come back too bite me, but Im still struggling with it. Although a certain LSE god I know thinks the reward outweighs the risk...and knowing the gain this year the gods had, well, I wouldnt bet against it. MXM on the otherhand, OB, Ive posted a brief rundown on the financial side, I have too say, Im gonna sit out this one ! Unless you tell me theirs only 3% available on the market lol, thats about the only thing that would make me interested :)

£2million profit most probably for the full year. Balance sheet wise, a net liability of £24.9 million, and thats if Im being generous in not factoring a write down on trades payable etc. Im think OB, this is possibly overweight right now. I dont have a balance sheet safety net either, and its not like WHY for example, who also have a net liability, these for me are quite risky atm. Granted a profit, but thats a heck of a dent on the balance sheet. On a plus, only 25.6million shares available, and Ive not yet looked at the holdings so their may be like 1% available in the wild lol... Fairly decent orderbook, however very little cash on hand so either borrowings increase reducing further the balance sheet or , given the low issue available, possible dillution down the line for a much needed cash injection.....

nice peice Aussiesco. I said it a few weeks back and Ill say it again. This is a decent safe haven, defensive stock as you will. Even now at 22p ish, still very nicely priced. Everyone hopes for a retrace selfishly for topping up, but over the peice, this will deliver well. Thanks for the posting :)
