OB, I did see TXR today, looks like its coming good.
I appreciate what your saying Silverscoop interms of divis, hence why some people dont quite like the fact that I like a company in the position , say WHY is in, too stop them. Im all for paying divi`s when companys can afford too pay them, however,
When a company has higher than normal borrowings, and needs too shore the balance sheet up, stopping the divi will add far more shareholder value interms of SP than the divi payment and a normal SP would.
I agree Sundancer, in the past few years its all been about "big is better". The problem is, so many companies lost the basics of what made them strong in the first place. One thing that alot of companies took their eye of the ball on for instance was cash flow. I wont bore everyone, but cashflow is now more important than profit beleive it or not for most companies, the only companies where profit is more important is those that have cash in hand.
Cash is king right now, if you have too renegotiate financing, its a very very costly thing too do. The other side of the coin is you cant is further dillution, so again that just sets you back a year or two or three.
The eye has firmly come back more onto the basics, which as a sad bean counter Im actually happy with. Companies are enforcing credit terms for example far more stricter than in the past, stock is being turned (in traditional business quicker) and people are getting the grip back on their business.
