For 2 years I have been saying the business is over staffed massively, turns out they have finally got the memo with a staff cull dumping 1200 more staff that will get then down to around 2500 staff (I said 6 months ago they only need 2400 staff for the current business levels). They have wasted nearing 200 million quid in the last 3 years on excess staff which is plain mental - what were they thinking?

That news of a cull imo should have created a rise in the sp - but you know why it hasn't? Because the boy who cried wolf.... The company has told so many fibs that nobody believes them, and until Mahmud is ousted then nobody will believe a word they say. He's a busted flush end of story.

The "plt for sale carrot" being just another line to fool idiot investors. It will not be sold.

Why are they even still in the London office? They should move all operations back to Manchester - London serves no purpose other than to boost managements egos into thinking they are part of the London scene when really nobody cares, least of all loss making shareholders. London has been one big money losing flop. Moving back to manc would save millions.

For years shareholders have been saying she needs to go as she does nothing and adds nothing... Apparently this buy changes all that?... The average private holders are just too gullible.

This is nothing more than an attempt to bolster their position at the upcoming agm... That extra percentage she now has voting power for could well be a deciding factor. They are desperate to not have any impartiality on the board!!

That is not profit kach - they will be reporting a loss before tax.

I was the only one stable enough to recognise that there was a loss of over 300 million coming in the results.

I was the only one stable enough to say that staff costs would be over 140 million, which is 60 million more than they should be.

Wait until the half year results come out stating a revenue decline still above 10 percent for the group with debenhams dropping to about 10 percent gmv growth....

All brands will still be showing significant losses also.
