Debenhams had nearly 3 billion revenue and 300 million net debt when the administrator was called in.... And it sold for just 55 million quid to boohoo.

Mike Ashley was stitched up over the sale of debs still has a legal case ongoing against Geoff Rowley as far as I'm aware, go and check it out and see how the administrator tried to protect the former board from legal proceedings for their failings!

If at any point the lenders here see their chances of recovering their money slip away they can call in the administrator themselves - it won't be up to boohoo management.

That said I'm sure that the kamanis or Mike would possibly be in fight to lend the company the money??

However they are not in such a bad position as we are, they have finances available to buy assets if this fails, and those assets despite what you believe will bought for a pittance.

Why would other retailers want to list on say plt or boohoo platforms when those 2 brands are dying themselves ?

What happened to the big deals they were in the process of finalising in the usa, the deals to stock our brands into other retailers, they were in "advanced talks" at the time. Now silence.

What happened to the company seeing good results from posting direct to the us from the uk? That was mentioned when closing the usdc.

That total staff number is comparable though and seems to be some 1800 to 2000 staff and 80 million extra over the last set of results that had revenue of 1.2 billion

Spidey these is no denying this is huge for shein, if they were a listed company and that news came out you would be talking 50 to 80 percent off the mcap in a matter of days,if not one trading session.

Im more concerned with the number cooking at debenahams though tbh, as i pointed out recently, debenahams allegedly now have 25 staff at a cost of 1.7 million quid, vs last year's 120 staff at a cost of 6.7 million quid (roughly)

Ill tell you.l one thing, more than 25 staff commented on Dans videos claiming to be part of the team.... Interesting huh?!

Right now we know our revenue is still declining, the business needs to make internal adjustments rather than relying on an external boost that just isn't coming....

3 years management have been hoping and praying that numbers would improve but they haven't.
