All of these companies had strategic reviews of their businesses shortly before going bang.

The delusions that the board here have your interests at heart is almost heart warming....

Debenhams had net debt of 300 million on a 2 plus billion revenue business i believe.... Before it went bang.

Boohoo has a net debt of 150 million currently? On a 1.2 billion revenue business....

Very similar ratios right there..

Although debenhams revenue were fairly stable and not falling at 15 percent per annum like boo....

Fyi there's rns' showing near 600 million have gone to the kamanis including the 170 for plt.....

600 million minus the cut for Papworth (which wasn't 50 percent) is well over 500 million.

The failure of debenhams is actually a cautionary tale....

Bought by its lenders for 100 million quid, when added to the 500 million debt it equated to 600 million.

They then pumped at least 100 million in taking the total to 700 "total cost" to the lender.

Stupidly they left the same management team running the company!!!

They then ended up completely closing all stores and selling the name and website for 55 million.....

I wonder if they regretted not taking Mikes offer to inject 200 million and take the ceo role????

Debenhams had a pre returns gmv of 3 billion quid in 2019.

Boohoo's debenhams today has a gmv pre returns of 800 million quid.

That was my point - debenahams is not bigger today as Dans lies in the video clip suggested.

And yes the kamanis have extracted over 500 million since ipo including the ipo, 170 million was straight out of the boohoo cash till for plt.

Yes they have extracted some 500 plus million since ipo.... 50 million per year and 170 million of it straight from the shareholders/companies cash pot!!

But they aren't communicating, your phone calls or emails are not communicating information to the market.

I get that it has given you some sense of relief having had communication with them but the truth is in the numbers - and the numbers are horrendous, it's that simple.

And they are 100 percent to blame, they have spent all the company money and driven the business into debt all to lose nearly half of the revenue.

Its been vanity project after vanity project thinking anything they touched turned to gold, but it's all turned to dogs muck.

Its now 4 months since they announced the big plan to unlock shareholder value.....

I personally will be out of this dog anywhere north of 100p if it gets there.

No mention of 3 years of consistent revenues decline totalling to nearly half the revenue disappearing.

No mention of total calamity us distribution centre

They're all in cuckoo land believing their own hype.

If they manage to turn this I'll happily praise the achievement - however at what sp will it be considered a success story?? They owe shareholders 200p just to have any credibility imo.

The purchases were a signal that no significant new wws due on any aspect of the business inc the strategic review.

If there was any value adding information only thr board were privy to then they couldn't buy.

It certainly fooled a few into thinking it was a big deal.

Carol put 200k in, she has probably benefited to the tune of 60 to 80 million quid from boohoo.

Her putting that 200 grand in is the equivalent to an average investor taking 60 grand profit on a company and punting 200 quid back in..... I hope that puts it into perspective!

Quite often businesses will buy uo the competition, if the competition arw doing well, which boohoo isn't.

There is a hidden positive here... Their growth could have come to an end hence not requiring further warehousing.

I just wish boohoo had noticed their own revenue declining before going on a massive spending spree.
