Bon just imagine if management hadnt of bought plt 2 years earlier than contracted to - what would we have paid for plt in 2022?

The group sp was down 90 percent at the point where should have bought plt in 2022 - I'd hazard a guess we would hve been paying under 50 million instead of 270 million for plt.

Also imagine if the board hadn't spent all that money on all the other failing brands!!

Imagine believing that it was Johns idea to buy the remaining stake of plt for 270 million... A full 2 years early!! They knew things were about to get dicey with the margin and they knew the company had peaked! That is why they bought plt early - if they believed the company was going to grow further there is no way they would have bought plt early - why sell for 270 if you could sell for 400 by waiting 18 months to 2 years ?...

Sooner or later you will realise the whole board here is is one big broken record.

Here is the thing, they don't need to cut management bonuses, rather delay them until a time when it is more palatable to the market.... Right now it tastes like stale milk!

With regards to staff - this business can function at 1.2 billion revenue with 2600 staff at a cost of 100 million quid, last full year accounts show approx 5k staff at a cost of 160 or 180 million (I'd need to check.)

There is a 60 million saving to be had on staff alone.

If Dan and Mahmud can't be ruthless and do the cull they need to go, one thing I guarantee you is an administrator would cull on day 1.... The staff need to go now

Fed they are still lost imo, they don't know what to do with the arcadia brands/labels so dumped on debz and hoping for the best. Those labels they have bought have absolutely drained profitability of the group also.

They have seen a bit of success with debenhams and think they can roll it out across the group - they are just hoping this works. I don't believe it will, plt and boohoo do not have the credibility that the Debenhams name carries.

The list of mistakes is endless and they don't accept any responsibility or accountability for anything!

Fed - I think the capital markets day will be corporate suicide.

Absolutely nothing of any substance sonce the h1 update which was terrible.

Thats a point where the cfo should be booted out - he has had a year or more in role now and apparently he has been "pulling up trees"....

I would also expect a loss of that size to be combined with cash raise.
