With regards Vectura, as the Aerami deal shows, I think if they were sniffing, they would only look at one or two aspects.

JJPK, I made a bit of an off the cuff comment to such effect before open on Monday. Really that Blackwell, Keegan and Wood all were responsible for the merger of Vectura and Skyepharma.
Blackwell was in charge at Vectura when Nuformix worked with them on their Innovate UK project looking at combining NFX cocrystal tech with Vectura's inhaler tech.

So.... where have we heard about using inhaler tech for delivery????

With due respect Aberdeenman, there are a couple of items in your post that don’t quite ring true.

A good CEO will develop a company to be commercially successful but not to the detriment of shareholders.
As you will know, Dans long stated business model was to use cash from milestone payments to fund the next in pipeline research. This removed the need for placing which would not be to the interest of existing shareholders.
He could have raised loads at a low price, diluting everyone’s holding and progressing testing much quicker. But to his credit he didn’t follow this easy route.
Unfortunately the China payment scuppered the funding for NXP002 testing at the start of this year as previously announced.

Personally I am grateful that Dan isn’t/wasn’t the type of ‘savvy’ CEO who would just undertake placing after placing to get cash and speed things up.

Furthermore, This would have been with the agreement of the board, how do we know it wasn’t them causing the problem?

Hale, don’t hold your breath expecting a new ceo anytime soon. Notice how Blackwell went from ‘interim’ chairman to Exec-Chairman. Removing the implied replacing of DT.

This is being set up by someone and we now have a full Vectura team running the show.

The question is, are the board (Blackwell, Keegan etc) working for the company or in the interest of an outside party?

Agree whimax, all I think is that it would have been absolutely no effect for them to have put one line into the rns to say as such. Why not do this if you are wanting to communicate confidence?

Furthermore it’s about confidence.

Yesterday’s rns could have had a one liner saying that this was part of a move to the next stage, or talks would not be affected. But it was silent, save for the fact that Dan is working for the next 6 days.

Even the most junior positions usually have longer hand overs than this.

If Greggs email from Dan is correct then the company need to release a statement to the same effect saying that all is still on track, as yesterday’s rns made no comment to this effect.

Don’t forget the bit where it went from 1.85p to 14.2p under Dan.

Dajjas has been cautioned before for making those kind of calls.

No point crying about it, so we have to look to what might be in the future.
