Great conversation thread. Could it not simply be that if TE9 is truly successful then we will have real TCF in the Tagi and more significantly in the Paleo.to the extent of knowing if it is a 1:3 or 1:4 ratio? Also the purchaser will want to maximise value and so beyond that the price may be in a sliding scale the more we have proved.
As someone who thought it was somewhere between possible and likely that we may be sold before drilling is it now certain we will not? Would the company set up a site visit for October where PI's commit money to visit something that has been sold! This must now guarantee drilling. Have good weekend's all. I'm in until the end. SC
Like many I am very disappointed with the news of the placing and agree that it looks likely that we are going to drill. My only real question to the more knowledgable is does oil exploration cost more than gas? If so then the placing is offset by the increased potential.
I agree JOE. Also I think James did raise the point about Sidi Moktar farm out will happen if we get to that point which points to what you say. This may all be an elaborate smoke screen of course but I suspect not
I have been reading that there is likely to be a 7 percent drop in Oil exploration this year to the still eye watering 37 billion US dollars compared with last year. Given this is oil alone and gas is going the opposite way does this not mean that Sound are absolutely in the right place at the right time. Looking forward to some more positive news in the near future. Time to sit back and enjoy the sunshine.
I think I and others have posted this before so sorry for repeating. What if massive Corp A has said Sound do the A structure deal and if true to agreed levels a similar other structures we will pay you ABC pounds. That would explain extra 3 lines of seismic and the softly softly approach at present. Just a thought.
Is it possible that the partner site agreement may not be covered by an RNS? We are awaiting more valuable news but yet again patience is a virtue: ) The swans are paddling frantically while it appears they are not doing anything.
I think there are multiple options from here 1. Company offers generous bid for SM say 2 to 4 bln with an agreement of first refusal on Tendrara. 2. Tiny offer for Tendrara say 1bn with future payments based on TCF and SM option. The list goes on and on I personally think we are very close or even in Goldilocks zone although we will be last to find out!! Don t forget we may not see RNS for all actions we previously did. Personally I'd love us to be signed sealed delivered by October so I can enjoy my 50th in style....
I think sale on seismic is possible not that Sound have advertised but buyers would have an altogether different risk reward attitude to us. For us it would be like buying a new build house off plan... I think most would be tempted by 3 quid a share now although like others I want the maximum. Enjoy your weekends.
1 a day on the RNS can simply point to the fact that those in Morocco for Sound are meeting different groups each day to conclude items....also all this about ii' s do we really care or need them? They can only buy shares that are available. If no one sells (which will never happen) as everyone has a price it is theoretically possible for the price to jump from losing value to LE price in very short time...great day regained some losses. Have a good night all.
