I bought another few thousand pounds of Hoc this morning in two lots around 174.5 as the share price seemed to have fallen just too much and the restarting of the dividend should be announced tomorrow -apple predictive text managed to respell announced as bounce - and I am hopeful the predictive te t is right!

Tornado, share prices look forward so it is not just the pricè of gold that affects the share but also expectation of future price rises or falls. Therefor if Cey has decent results as it should in line with expectation but with higher gold prices then IF gold shoots through 2500 then Cey could make 140 at that price. It is crowd emotion as well as math imho

Yes of course Mike, that actually raises my Th’s basket (using this afternoon mat figures) to $1452 from $1434. Anyway respectable as maybe just about washing its face while chromium churns in the cash, However Karo is a no go unless prices rise which is holding this cash machine back imho

I make Tharisa basket around $160 more than Karo this week, interestingly I make Karo profit now up to 17% from gold

On another note GNOME I usually agree with all you write, just not your distaste for the avocado that I love tho I do agree it has become a trifle fashionable, in on and under everything; when introduced by Marks and Spencer’s over half a century ago the public assumed you cooked them, maybe try that. Otherwise you are almost always spot on and your insights and comments based on mining experience greatly appreciated

Medtaway, Hochschild has been on a tear and still is, it had a justifiable pull back on weaker gold and silver, a chance for profit taking but you can see it is coiled like a spring for good news, 3% rise in silver increases profits near 9%, 40% silver output means about 3.5% but gold was also up. Also overweight is still overweight and they are saying fair value is 40% north of here. Also Hoc have said they would consider a dividend at the results, and highly likely they will announce resuming it which will help too

I agree with Tibbs and want to express my thanks to all for contributing to this board including Steve Jones and Cowichan. I may not agree with you all, some may post an awful lot probably most of all Tibbs, but I can always whizz through those or ignore so please stop the insults which as Tibbs says are more suitable for advfn and keep up the intelligent argued criticism of others as the likes of Dasut do. So far Steve Jones seems to have been righter viz the share price than Cowichan, and Dasut’s informed view most useful of all but we all know that can change quickly so come on all. I would add that over on Tharisa some posters heavily criticised the Karo investment and ownership, the company weighed in saying legal action might be taken and the share price fell below 50p two or three months ago, it is now back up 2/3rds. My view is this £100m stuff will probably go away from the. Chat as the company had spoken, like Tharisa, and our share price should be stronger gold willing. Now please Steve, Cowichan, Bond, Tibbs stop behaving as in a nasty school yard though of course say intelligently why you deduce each other’s posts wrong, and why as Dasut etc do so helpfully, or I can just skim past you and ignore the nasty banter. Cowichan it seems not that dissimilar to the tax charge, which it is in effect in lieu of, in many similar countries who don’t expect to have to invest in the project to get their tax

More gold still but will get nearer even if gold silver ratio continues to fall, I have been thinking towards double the gold to silver since main silver mine Pallancata closure (and Arcata)but as said depends on respective prices. However the market values Hoc as tho majority silver

BPat890, when we bought at 47p on Mar 15th and both posted here, you said you expected a 20-25% rise pretty rapidly. You were wrong …..it has been 60%…so far. Well done, I am hanging in along with my larger original stake, and those I added on top a week later at52p, metals are now motoring and this is wildly oversold…plus the buy back on top is huge considering how few shares are traded, thank you Tharisa
