edit wrong board! sorry :/
I'm not an expert at the oil and gas industry but I am intrigued at how echo (or perhaps how people feel echo) could have improved this situation
what I have noticed though is I've not been able to extract much explanation apart from people making the point
just to pinpoint the matter, do we feel echo as a company and within the scope of their work and the information they have missed a chance to influence and otherwise arrest the decline in SP?
what material action should echo have done about these concerns just raised?
well they could abandon now or have a crack. know which of the two i prefer
To be honest it's not so bad to remember but after a day at work and all you want to do is banter they do get mixed up to me - La bomba is good, seen it referred to a few times - I just didn't want to be presume it will prove as exciting as the name suggests until after testing
Yolo, as with all members I hope your strategy pays off for you. Given market reaction today, it just might!
I mean EMS. We do need easier names ;)
Totally with you Stix.
Ignore the irrational behaviour of the market, everything from todays RNS suggests positive responses from the company in terms of reacting to what it's been face with. Communication has been present (even though it seems some think it's counterproductive?) - I do, personally, appreciate the little photos and just gentle reminders that cogs are turning even when things go quiet for a while. I like that from them and I wish more companies did it. If we're going to follow them we might as well try and enjoy it and have a look at day to day ops where a sneak peak is provided, even if it's just a panoramic shot of the area being worked. It's good.
I think its reasonable to assume production is going to see a boost - how much? we're not sure but it will come out in the wash. We're also seeing some movement on testing the potentially sizeable discovery ELM, potentially (and unfortunarely for now we have to say potentially) we're still in quite a positive position.
The market is doing what the market does, but what I'd say to anyone as a relative newbie to the investing scene, this is my first dabble in oil and it's been interesting to see all four wells through, but don't get down purely on market reaction, because SP doesn't conform particularly closely to actual acheivements a bad few days or negative response to seemingly positive news isn't worth the stress.
As always, IMO.
Technically they've not enjoyed a mass of success, but as with the previous poster it seems they are doing what they can, and whether you appreciate the tweets or not, they're definitely making an effort (whilst trying to balance it against managing expectations) in the best way possible.
I do like it when they try so good on echo i think though obviously I hope they start to have some easier times.
The cogs are clearly still turning then. Sound.
respect to MATD for releasing that, it was quite a summary.
takes as long as it takes IMO. Echo doesn't seem to be bad with communication, but all companies will release in a controlled manner anyway
updates will come.
"This stock really is death by a 1000 cuts."
^ just want to quote this statement purely for it's shocking degree of accuracy
welcome to the madhouse
I do admire your attitude towards it!
I'm also not sure (feel free to educate me on this) why MATD is in trouble. If it relied on SL, bearing in mind it's COS to not be in trouble, I'd suggest we've been in trouble for a very long time?
"Lots of comments here about posters saying “I told you so”. No comments about posters who repeatedly said it was going to rocket, the hordes were coming and last chance to buy at 10, 11 or 12, cheeky top ups, inevitable rise to spud, etc. ad nauseum. "
My own comments do include both sides of the coin - though I would take this opportunity to raise a point that ramping is much less intrusive than bickering and you can generally co-exist whilst taking some comments with a pinch of salt, though with a lot of 'i told you so's' resorting to personal insults it becomes far more intrusive and detracts from the atmosphere the board by a much larger margin - JIMO.
Unfortunately they can be!
I just don't think a company would look good if it spends resources on quashing small time rumours. Gives the impression of being on the backfoot - obviously this is a bit of a sensitive time and so the BOD need to show commitment and strength.
Don't get me wrong I'm sure they will weigh it up and make the call themselves on whether to or not which is a sensible thing to do.
Doesn't seem appropriate to me to be pressured or oblgate dinto answering to any claim that any website may make.
Unless it was a particularly strong rumour or from trusted known sources I'd see a formal response to a small murmor as a sign of weakness. IMO
why?
