I do hope not, i was planning to top up a tad at current rates!
Nope, though I should be for a 3:30am start - the problem with getting into investing is I like the discussion as much as the investing (when its constructive anyway) so ive become glued to the boards even if I don't have a lot to say. I still think its a bit pointless worrying about predicting day to day SP's, we're going to remain in some sort of purgatory until cogs turn and trends get established, even then it might be too subtle to notice on a day to day basis Doesn't change my impression of whether this is a good share or not, i just think haste towards seeing some decent blue numbers could ultimately be a bit....limiting. for now just enjoy observing the ups and downs
*pouts at days change* ner ner ner ner ner didn't want to sell today anyway wonder if any trees are missing their monkeys?
...trying to rush things. I don't think a rapid rise is very beneifical. Let confidence grow, you'll get the fruits, and the time to invest as you go too. Unless you think it may all crash (and I suppose there's always the risk) I favour a slower rise even when everything looks rosy than a mad dash!
I might find myself eating last nights words! More than happy to concede on this one!
typo - bad should be good.
Personally speaking? about the same. Bit of bouncing around, maybe a steady increase like the back end of last week if the universe feels kind Think it will take time and bad news together to swing things to get to where some are hinting its worth...not impossible, and maybe even likely - but will be a case of being reliant continued successes and patience IMHO. Tried to buy some last week but orders wouldn't go through, have another go this week then sit back with a pint and see what happens I think,
I follow your argument and concur - just seems a bit odd the activity we've seen for one day without any obvious cause.
Thanks - I observed the dip with the article in the news the other week about Interserve being under watch after the Carillion fallout, and the market very observably shrugged it off, with no RNS and nothing in the headlines I couldn't see a material reason for the swing, obviously SP is dictated by variables that go far beyond those under IRV's control. It's been a test of support hasn't it!
An interesting day, has any fundamentals changed that has escaped my notice or is this just market dynamics at play?
Thanks Craig, I hope so - I like a good rollercoaster ride! I hope people don't get too heated on here because we're all interested parties with a goal in common, though im cautious about being too optimistic because I'm finding across my own small protfolio that companies like these have some intruiging ways of defying expectation and even powerful good news. However I don't see why with continued successes it shouldn't get its due ultimately
watching this all with interest! have a little bit in it, not much but quite exciting all the same
thanks - It wouldn't let me use my regular username so had to be that (I remap diesels for a living). Wanted to comment the other day but made me wait all weekend to validate my account so all the fun was missed
As a fairly new bloke to the world of investing I found this board an interesting place to observe. I had a bit in on this but nothing compared to figures i've seen banded about over the last few days, mere pocket money. Still took most of it out but in the last days decided to let the ship sink so to speak, see what happened in a highly interactive sort of way. Obviously I give my respect to those that have lost (whether saver, investor, speculator and employee and family beyond) but has this been something else - how many times you can read or be told that you can lose in this game, but the mechanics have been laid bare with this one! I've enjoyed reading the comment on here, been a few constructive threads of discussion here amidst the stress from some regulars and its been interesting to look through. Ta!
