''As previously announced our plan to bring Deep Well 801 into production was by drilling a side track of between 450 – 500 meters from a starting depth of 4,501 meters.

Having identified potential oil bearing (net-pay) intervals covering in aggregate 121 meters so far during the drilling of the side-track, we have decided to stop the side-track at a depth of 4,851 meters and, after running and cementing a 5-inch liner to the full depth of the side-track, to test the well.

Four potentially oil bearing intervals have been identified during drilling and supported by mud log data. The first of 6 meters between 4,535 and 4,541 meters; the second is of 20 meters between 4,554 and 4,694 meters; the third is of 59 meters meters between 4,635 and 4,694 and the fourth is of 36 meters between 4,812 and 4,848 meters.

The pressure in Well 801 remains high indicating good connectivity. As the side-track has been drilled using lower density drilling mud we expect the task of getting the well to flow to allow testing to commence should be easier than previously drilled deep wells.''

Yeah, A Block is very big indeed and we know it flows commercial quantities of oil, how far do the intervals stretch?

Yep NY is not as big in size, but there are 4 intervals which are massive (801 Deep Well), oil flowed to surface before becoming blocked with rocks/ fluid and one of the four net-pay intervals is 59m thick! so oil wise these 4 intervals could prove to have massive quantities of oil/ gas with shallower intervals to boot (802). After Wells 802/803 have completed they will then tackle the 801 well - I cannot wait for that to be gone back to, Geo's at the ready.

It's position building time atm for new and old investors as 2.5p won't be around for much longer imo.

With 6 deep wells currently being worked on and the A6/801 Deep Wells to boot one of those 6 has surely got to come good this year, so I expect it will be a while yet before you sell some CASP as continued good news flow through 2H looks promising.

Like I've said a few times these wells should start coming in in the summer and with CE dosh rolling in Q3 and a sizeable increase in shallow/ deep production on the cards I'm hoping 30p+ proves the case Q4 with a dividend payment mention helping for early 2025.

If they can drill the A8 Deep Well 5K meters+ and flow it with no problems then they should be able to drill the A7/803 Deep Wells too though I often wonder if the integrity etc. of the Chinese drill strings are sub par dealing with the heat - pipes/links expanding a tad causing the stuck pipes, but hey A8 was drilled OK so....

Block 8 regulations being signed off can't be too far away now.

They've mobilized the rig so let's hope it's spud at long last and they've ordered the drilling fluid etc..

I think CASP are going to have to do a new CPR soon after Block 8 has been signed off to include some P1/P2/2C Reserves as the currently flowing two deep wells have been producing oil for sometime, however in saying that they may well wait until A7/A5/802/803 wells have been completed later this year (by summers end?) with new shallow Dolomite reservoir to include too, so new CPR year-end/ Q1 next year?

CASP say they'll be no more exploration wells drilled on the BNG contract area (Block 8 will definitely if there's oil flowing on the two new structures or not) so I reckon we could see an Appraisal Program put together early next year on the BNG license, it will cost a few hundred million to begin with with an oil pipeline included in planning costs - Major onboard after FEED done?

A busy year ahead and hopefully there'll be some bubbly flowing too.

P2..........Yelemes Deep

The Yelemes Deep structure extends over 36 km2. To date two deep wells, 801 and 802 have been drilled to depths between 4,000 and 4,868 meters with a third deep well planned to spud before the year end.

At Deep Well 801 we are working with external geologists to determine the next course of action.

''Deep Well 801 was originally drilled to a depth of 5,050 meters reaching Total Depth in July 2015. As with the other deep wells drilled at BNG the well was blocked by a combination of excess drilling fluids and rocks from the potential reservoir.

For an extended period, the Company sought to remove the blockage with the use of chemicals and by periodically opening and closing the well as pressures grew. During that time oil flowed to the surface under its own pressure.

In May 2018 the Company announced it successfully completed a 350 meter side-track from a depth of 4,501 meters by-passing the blocked pipe. A 5-inch liner was run to the new bottom of the borehole at a total depth of 4,852 meters.

During the drilling of the side-track we encountered four potentially oil-bearing intervals. The first of 6 meters between 4,535 and 4,541 meters; the second is of 20 meters between 4,554 and 4,574 meters; the third is of 59 meters between 4,635 and 4,694 and the fourth is of 36 meters between 4,812 and 4,848 meters. Subsequently we perforated 75 meters of the intervals identified.''.

The 801 Deep Well has massive potential - why is the 803 Deep Well drilling to 3,950 meters and not targeting these very thick intervals deeper down as in the 801 Deep Well?

The 802 Deep Well has found commercially flowing oil at 4,000 meters so maybe they're drilling the 803 Deep Well to the same depth just to get some deep flowing oil under their belt from this interval(s) and will leave the deeper intervals in the A6 Deep Well until the Geo's and A6-7-802-3 well out comes.

Block 8

The Block 8 contract area extends over 2,823 km2 with three identified structures and production from two existing wells.

Drilling at Deep Well AKD-4 has reached its planned total depth of 3,922 meters and preparations are underway to test the well (Deep Well T-2D, has a planned total depth of 3,500 meters).

What's interesting is deep oil has been found/ flowing across all 4 structures between a depth of 1,500m, whether any of the structures are connected is still to be discovered, a common factor is deep oil has flowed commercially between approx. 4,000m and 4,400m across 3 of the 5 structures with the 2 on Block pending testing - if at all, is this where the structures could be connected?

Airshagyl

The Airshagyl structure extends over 58 km2. To date four wells have been drilled to depths between 4,400 meters and 5,300 meters.

The Planned Total Depth of the A7 Deep Well is 5,300 meters with an interval of interest identified at approximately 4,000 meters.

Deep Well A6 was drilled on the Airshagyl structure in 2015. The well was drilled to a depth of 4,516 meters but given the experience gained in drilling the earlier deep wells, the drilling phase proved easier although issues were encountered when drilling through the salt layer.

Caspian Sunrise has twice attempted without success to perforate up to a 60-meter section of the 100-meter oil bearing interval, using different contractors on each occasion. After further investigation it appeared that both attempts to perforate the well failed with little or no penetration of the casing to allow oil to flow.

Get these intervals perforated and who knows how much oil will flow - tip for Shin use much more powerful explosives and frack this fukcer boooooooooooommmmmmm!

Deep Well A5

As previously announced the side-track from a depth of 3,796 meters successfully reached a depth of 4,405 meters without incident, which has become the well's new Total Depth.

Since then cementing has been successfully completed, the well extensively cleaned and subsequently perforated over a 63 meter interval from 4,331 meters to 4,394 meters.

Another whopping interval of 63 meters that flowed nearly 4,000 bopd, will the Block 8 rig do the job and the new formulated acid work? No stuck pipe please!

The A8 Deep Well flowed 120 bopd from 1 of 3 intervals but was deemed none commercial - at what depth was the interval that flowed and was this well drilled on the boundary of the structure?....................

Coffeecups, they've already exercised the option to buy Block 8 - there's no going back the letter's in the post.

After CASP acquired the option to buy Block 8 in September 2022 (nearly a year and half ago) I reckon CASP's drilling company spud the two Block 8 wells not long after around February/ March 2023 hitting TD in September and have now been ready to flow test these two wells for 5 months now. They will have drilled through various intervals of interest on the two new Block 8 structures so the question is what is it they're preparing to test? They will already know the interval(s) thicknesses and if any oil flowed to surface from an open hole/ saturated core samples, if you ask me it's looking good as you don't test water 😉

Coffeecups/SmartyP1 - CASP have recently released RNS updates within a couple of months of each other so it's logical to think the next RNS update would be March/April but don't expect any TD's etc. other than what I've stated.

SmartyP1 - It's highly unlikely CASP will bore the cost of building a beach-pad as all costs and upgrades were agreed to be paid by the hirer who decided where the borehole should be, which is deeper than the drill ship is made for.

In your coms with CC did you ask him if they were waiting on Block 8 regulations to be passed before flow testing the wells?

March or April for the deeps? - Not a chance!

The 803 Deep Well has been averaging 3m per day for 3 months - that's 500m drilled in 3 months with another 3,700m still to drill!

The A7 Deep well took 4 months to drill to 2,150m with another 3,150m still to drill, and the well has still not spud!

Shallow Well 155 is still waiting to spud after drilling the 142 Shallow Well shambles, which will take 4 months to drill, so June-July to flow test it.

The A5 Deep Well should have spud mid-November last year and has yet to start drilling the sidetrack - it's beyond a joke!

802 Deep Well has 3,400m of stuck pipe remaining and still no specialist 'partner' on board to try and remove it!

Both Block 8 Deep Wells are still waiting to have Regulations passed, so they can get on with fracking/cementing and flow testing the wells!

801 and A6 Deep Well to be decided on when A7- 802-3 Deep Wells results are known.

Also the reason they have now dropped their CE payment from $15m to $10-15m is because : 62 days of planned drilling * $150,000 per day = $9,300,000 plus a 15 day 'potential' delay factored on top adds another 'possible' $2,250,000 so they'll get around $9,300,000 and $11,550,000 far below the initial $15,000,000 touted!

And they're getting $32-$34 pboo Gross which after taxes and transports cost will probably be around half of that - what are the trucking costs $10 per barrel?

Production down 800 bopd since Q4 2022 - BoD who sign off the RNS's have been telling us more porkies stating production was 2,000 bopd for the last 6 months when in fact it's been around 1,600 bopd! Is CC have a laugh with hi one-liner ''With the return of Well 142 production levels are moving in the right direction'' - LOL 1,900 bopd is still less than reported multiple times, but yeah better than 1,600 bopd...........

Possible short term news is Block 8 regulations passed and they can get on with flow testing both wells - they will need to bring back one or both rigs to do this, which are currently being used elsewhere - I don't see them using a workover rig to do this work unless they've already done the work and just waiting for Regulations to pass so they can announce the flow test results?

802 Deep Wells stuck pipe removed in the next couple of months.

141 Shallow Well needs 27m of stuck pipe removing so they can start sidetracking the well.

Another shallow well (807) flows next month.

The biggest news for me in the last RNS is the Dolomite reservoir is flowing - how thick is the 160 bopd interval and how far does is stretch?
