Notably for the Disko-Nuussuaq Project, KoBold's distinguished and well-recognised nickel expert, Dr. Peter Lightfoot, was earlier involved with the historical Falconbridge campaign at Disko-Nuussuaq during the 1990s and, moreover, has been part of a team that has identified major discoveries in every one of the cobalt-producing nickel-copper sulphide belts in Canada.

Well today's news was very welcomed and exactly as I thought, a JV on Disko and hence the delay in operations there so far this year. Still the biggest near-term news catalyst to come, the future is looking bright!

Feels different from the last bounces up we've had in the steady fall over the last 6+ months. Positive news is incoming? can't see how a £500k loan would be the catalyst for this rise so hopefully some sales news.

No, they haven't, they will hope the SP of this newly formed company will at least hold to the IPO price for a while. Jonathan Owen/Helium One and Helium Ventures are their other ventures, so far and they seem to be doing OK of late? and Proudfoot is a reputable energy consultancy too.

My point is, it's money for nothing really as nobody was realising that this obscure asset was worth anything at all. I doubt it was by our accountants and if anything carried a nominal value on our books.

You say mining licenses are expensive but I'd beg to differ. ECR Minerals just 'purchased' a license in QLD in Australia, a tier 1 mining jurisdiction for less than $50k AUD - licenses are not expensive.

I'm as frustrated with delays as anyone but things are progressing. Every single statement, both internally and externally tells us that everything is going ahead as planned for Dundas. The recent chat on here about a change of BoD to get projects over the line are laughable.

The latest broker target released today is a BUY aiming for 37.7p per share based on us agreeing $250 per tonne, every $10 increase in price raises the SP by over 5p. Current spot ilmenite prices are running around $350-370 and have been steady in that range for the last 6+ months.

Richards Bay Minerals effectively closed and SA, in general, slowing down production. 64 trucks full of copper have been hijacked recently in Africa alone.

US and EU want material coming from local and stable environments. Greenland just signed up to the EMRA, and both Danish and Greenlandic governments own stakes in JAY.

In your same post, you state that you did not know about this asset but then you also say the deal seems cheap for it. You can't have it both ways. So you've invested in the company based on the assets that you are aware of, you can hardly complain when someone gives you $4m out of the blue for one that you had no idea about. Some people are just a glass half empty I guess.

The shares may well go down in value but given they represent less than 1% of our company value, who really cares? These assets have not been mentioned in an RNS or company presentation for at least 4 years I think so how people can see a negative in this is beyond me?! Talk things down as you want but this news today cannot be perceived as a negative.

What is it about the technology that you find so impressive and who have you compared against to give a benchmark?

This should be a good company to invest in but sadly it is not, at least not right now. Wait until a SALES RNS comes out and if it's decent or has initial orders with decent reputable organisations, then think of buying in. Right now it looks like the company is going to fold, in my opinion.

It's more frustrating when other similar companies have boots on the ground and doing actual work. I can only suppose we've not confirmed similar as there are discussions going on with 3rd parties. Need some news soon though.

I'm not really for defending ECR, the last 6 months have been bad, but the previous 6 months were good. Seems like that's mining, isn't it?

The only thing that really matters to me is the drill results, and that they keep on drilling. £5m should take us comfortably to the end of this year. One good strike will see me, and most others more than likely, into profit.

The constant posting, regurgitated day after day, in my mind, is completely pointless. For those who really want ECR to climb, maybe keeping quiet for a while might work?

definitely needs to be better but have to hope all is progressing, which I'm sure they are. There are consultations going on just now that are going to have an impact on all mining projects in Greenland, the closing date is August 2nd.

Everything seems to start in August for actual activity, as per other miners in the area, let's hope we get an announcement soon to update on all projects.

It feels like this will be a big month for JAY. They could be better with comms but then again they're not too bothered with short-term SP action hopefully, we've got bigger things to think about. The last update from the Chairman in late May said 'We continue to discuss strategic options for this unique asset.' when discussing Disko, what will the turn out to look like? We should have had boots in the ground by now, is there a JV discussion that's holding this up?

Interesting to read last week of Rio having to issue a force majeure on contracts from their Richard Bay Minerals site in SA. A major producer of Ilmenite for them.

I wonder when we'll get an update on; Disko & Thunderstone, Finland, HMRC, finance agreement signed, information on price structure secured with offtake partners, and Rio's smelter testing. Feel we're overdue on a number of these.

Why is everyone so directed at CB? He gets hired and fired like everyone else so ultimately he is not in control of what happens, really. As said recently I'm comfortable enough knowing that we now have enough cash to drill for at least a year so I still see plenty of upside, there are many more drill results to come to give an incredible return.

I first started buying around this price and now avg 2.3 so I'll not be complaining when it gets back to 4p
