They cannot even produce a feasibility study because it would require a Competent Person to sign it off.

There is no evidence that they have a process or that it is feasible.
Nobody will fund a project based on marketing materials , especially one with very obviously fantasy sales prices.
$200/kg for NdPr has never been achieved yet Pensana is passing this off as credible. Do they think the historical price of NdPr is unavailable to financers?

For the trigger to be pulled on this they provide working sample to test. That starts in January.
This is critical for the car manufacturers, Several car manufacturers had to recall whole lines of cars and replace the batteries, which are worth 50% of the sales cost.
This is catastrophic, business ending situation to be in. They will test the batteries to death and that is why AMTE is here and BV will be history - a solid history of manufacturing.

Patent applications are publicly available world wide.
If they have applied for them, give us the numbers so we can look. Don't spew BS about commercial sensitivity. That's a lie.

As for the process they claim to have, they should publish it is the Feasibility Study. Its patent applied and therefore protected. This is what other projects do.

Furthermore, a novel process MUST have a pilot plant. EMH, ZWD, RBW, Sonora as well as several other lithium and RE processors build pilot plants even if the process is not new. These are experienced miners who have done this before, unlike Pensana. They build pilot plants for simple lithium mines, so why not for the most complicated mining processing there is, Rare Earths?
How about reading some of the completions Feasibility Studies, 130 page documents detailing the Patent applied for process, precise reagent requirements and costs down to the water usage in the staff toilets. There shod be a page detailing the Eviromental permits required and currently held.

Financiers have to perform very detailed due diligence.
That includes a string track record, detailed feasibility studies, market research etc.
Took us 6months to get 18m from a UK fund manager. The even wanted copies of all employment contracts from current and previous employees. Went through the entire company with a fine tooth comb.
One red flag, like a consistent history of failure by the management in previous projects, will kill any deal.

The string red flags round this company is astounding.
No company is going to hand over hundreds of millions to a company with that track record, no feasibility study whatsoever, no pliot plant, a novel, untested, processing process and a false claim of patent applications to cover it.

The only viable source of funding will be dumb retail investors or those who don't bother with DD.

Looking at a MCAP to NPV relationship, a conservative MCAP is about $3.5 to 4bn, I guess.

The reached an agreement to produce about 50 cars worth of batteries per year as samples. Production starts in January 2023. The .5gw factory will be build quite quickly.
Their plans are going quite well I'd say.

Yes, you are right, could have worded that better. BV are by no means the only Giga factory contender, ukbic has several options and is developing the technology itself (funded by UKGov). BV's only contribution is the ability to raise funding to pay for the development by other organisations. If it cannot raise money, it is no loss.

If I was them I'd take control and keep the mine running, if it can be run in profit.. Sack all irrelevant staff such as management, except for one guy who can identify what can go.
Then find a buyer.
If that doesn't work shut it down and sell the bits for cash.

Of course it will need sorting but they don’t just take away your property the day after you default on a payment!

This is not a regulated loan.

Its a secured commercial loan.

Break the terms (not just late payment - ANYTHING can be added to protect the lender), even once, and yes, they can take the asset and sell to recover the debt (plus 45% compound penalty interest and ALL fees)
