The farming anology is wrong. Mining rare earth is more askin to car manufacturing from steel. The difference is not just higher value but a massive investment in manufacturing and intellectual property to get to the end product .
Sure Burundi can take profit at a later stage of the product cycle, just build a $600m factory and build the infrastructure to supply it with $200m of reagents a year.
That won't happen for several reasons. Burundi poor location, complete lack of infrastructure and unsuitability for long term investment due to its untrustworthy government.

This is the RBW forum and that media strategy has a bearing on miners with huge capex/opex requirements dependant on Private investors who read social media.
Professional investors who will fund the miners will look at the DFS/BFS and run the numbers. Which is why Hastings has funding and offtakes because its has opex of $15/kg not $44/kg like your run of the mill miner.
And why RBW will have no problem with its very low opex.

RBW's agreement with K-Tech is for Southern Africa (not South Africa), yet this latest agreement is for a North African country, Morroco.
There is no statement on the modification of the agreement but as the IP is being jointly patented K-Tech is no longer in control of all the technology or licensing and a new agreement is necessary.

The North African agreement demonstrated they extended nature of their joint venture and George mentioned that patents were being applied for jointly.
In other words the agreement has been changed and it is dependent on RBW IP as well as KTech
