The interesting part would be what part of the loan is in sterling (surely our government would only guarantee sterling)

What happens in a recession? Does population growth stop? Does demand for food stop? What tunnelling problems? Aren't a large number of stocks at a year low given the indices? Don't expect you to answer as you normally behave like a seagull,. Come in uninvited, make a lot of noise **** on everything then fly off.

Even if liquidity dries up a little bit our lenders would be looking to build something that has non cyclical demand, hopefully that's something they're bearing in mind, they're not financing a chain of hotels or a bitcoin mine.

Also I read that the yield curve was flattening not because of rising short term rates but because of long term rates getting lower. I'd expect that to be a positive for our USD denominated debt. (although it does seem to be a recession indicator)

The last quarterly conference call was before 12 November wasn't it, so wouldn't the RNS from the 12th be more up to date?
