Dilutive and dilution are one of the same.
It's all about value at the end of the day, same value more shares or less value same shares. First one is dilution the second is what's makes up the market value.

Share dilution happens when a company issues additional stock.

You don't dilute the value of share by selling assets you REDUCE the value.

Lets just get the terminology right please, the effect of dilution and reduction may ultimately have the same effect.

I don't mind reduction/dilution if it is required to get things going. SML needs money to get things moving at a pace we all want one way or another.

Dilution relates to more shares where is that coming from?

Any cost would be unlikely to be dilution for LC but will more likely be a % loss of asset or reduced profit from selling copper at a price attractive to any partner for a protracted period. Any price fixing will hopefully be tied to market value of copper.

Money has to come from somewhere, even with the big customer SML may not have afforded LC.

I pointed out ages ago, long before most that LC "under care and maintenance" did not mean it was ready to go soon and required extensive equipment.

I don't think there will be a "cost" as such, if SML get a partner and I think they will, a good finance package will protect SML's shareholders.

I think your on the money with Redmoor needing around £2mil, but the final payment could be renegotiated and the project spend be "as and when" SML have cash for the immediate time being.

Cash reserves could be higher but I can see the money from the arbitration not being critical, just a way of finally speeding up delivery of promises.

I posted a while back that the low copper price would actually work for SML, its more attractive to tie into a deal now, granted I did say it before corona kicked off.

I do believe SML will be announcing a deal with a partner at LC soonish. If that happens, any arbitration money can be ploughed into Redmoor and bringing back Care.

Tarry does make a fair point about the Mail newspaper, having worked with/against a number of their so called journo's I would not listen to a thing they had to say/write about, newspapers should go the way of the dinosaur.

Yeah I can see the trades now...its weird...to show and then not.

I came back to my computer that was left on and the last trade for SML was a 700k odd share trade at 0.54, my phone also shows the trade, I refresh the screen and it disappears...
its states 17 trades yet only shows 13....not the full picture....

Yeah I think in his mind it's a done deal. I think its smart for any potential partner to wait, until fog from covid starts to dissipate.

Sound like if the money doesn't come from arbitration in time or at all they can reschedule the final payment but they don't want to.

SML. is all about Redmoor. I think whatever happens a share of Redmoor will be retained, how much depends on a lot of variables.

Step by step, the win is the first step, once achieved we then may or may not have a fight for cash, perhaps the ruling or a discount on the value of the ruling may loosen the clients purse strings....just about everything in life is about negotiation.

SML were never intending on getting Redmoor going on their own, the longer they remain 100% owners during its progression the less they have to give away for the costly funding.
I do get your point though that 50% of something is better than 100% of nothing

I think the arbitrator will award 60% of the $4mil as loss of profit and then I would guess a fair figure for damages is around $5mil. In the US you can claim against the loss of SP value should it be impacted....it could be a lot more, but that's my guess.
