Couldn't agree more. This was my comment posted on a website:
"For those of you who managed to watch this event on ITV, I hope you will agree that they excelled themselves as usual. The overhead shots, Francesca Cumani's usual rundown on horses at the Paddock, the salutation piece on Lester Pigott, the interviews with Owners (including the classy HH Aga Khan and Sheikh Mohammed), Trainers, Jockeys, the fashion coverage, the bookie updates... all the while maintaining a peak level of interest and excitement throughout the afternoon. The professionalism of the whole operation was truly a wonder to watch.
And personally speaking, I couldn't have been more delighted to see the Godolphin team come away with the main prize. The Sheikh has contributed immensely to Racing throughout the world, not least in the UK. It is well deserved and a break from the monotonous diet of Ballydoyle/Coolmore successes, although Aidan O'Brien is a true Gentleman. "
Of course you will be also aware of their recent BAFTA award for their Grand National coverage.
