With the amount of drilling, plating, riveting that has taken place the magnetic field of the vessel will have changed so the compasses have to be adjusted so a magnetic course can be converted to a true course for the Gyroscope.
You might see her heading in various directions, It used to take approx 4-6 hrs the last time I was involved.

Your thoughts are correct COC has sold approx 1% from 29.03 % to 28.02% which should have triggered an RNS having broken the 29 % that is providing the figures posted are correct.

Just a personal opinion, but I would expect the SP to creep up to in the region of 40p as the drill advances, mainly the result of traders joining the party.
If we drill a duster I would expect the SP to fall back to the level of cash which is approx where we are today.
Should the drill be a success I would expect the SP to continue north to 45p but would then need some good news to underpin it at that level.

I think a negative result is already in the share price and drill results around the end of November.

Seem to recollect reading somewhere that it stretches as far as IE4.

Only 4.7 m shares traded, not a lot in the grand scheme of things and nothing to suggest that any of the II's are bailing out two-way traffic at the moment.

The sole purpose of the IM6 - 7drill was to discover the oil-water contact of IM5 while investigating the higher and lower formations 510 & 310 formations.
They have now found the oil-water contact so there is no need to drill IM7 and we move to plan B IM4.
Having now found the OW contact it remains to be seen whether it improves the volumetrics of MI5 I guess we will have to wait for the analysis of the logs.

Under normal circumstances, I'm a believer in the market getting it right but watching the trading today it looks like blatant manipulation which very easily done with such low volumes traded.
We are getting off the book sells followed by auto sells or a series of small algo sells driving the price lower.
I can only guess at what is behind this manipulation but I'm sure it will all become apparent when the RNS arrives.

If you look at the sells that are taking place this AM, they are all off the book so it is frightened or frustrated PI's who are selling not II's.

No news is good news everything looks to be going fine.
Six offshore vessels out at Etinde supporting the Topaz Driller and they don't come cheap, so hold onto your shares and wait for the RNS which is probably already in the planning.
