My concern with IAG is they are so heavily dependent on US travel and also S America which won’t come off the UK red list for a while either.

With all the uncertainty IAG will have to provide an update on potential RI in the Q3 results update on Nov 5th. I had feared an RI may occur in parallel on this date but more likely they will wait to see cash burn for a bit longer now UK travel has opened up and SP should travel up a bit now as well.

Smithy you miss the point the average person won’t be able pay for PCR tests as part of a cheap weekend trip abroad as it costs as much as the plane ticket. Some of your other points are fair but this 1 is nonsense.

I am doing ok just good to have an extra weekend trip alongside plenty of others so will leave Skegness to you (not heard anyone mention this to me since the 1990s)

Yep saying PCR tests didn’t stop ppl travelling is nonsense. Just logically put yourself in that situation and it is clear it did and actually me and my wife are now going for a long weekend to Switzerland in Oct as we don’t have to pay extra money for PCR.

Surely this goes up on Mon with new UK travel rules confirmed and also RR is not fully trapped like IAG on US travel.

- Uk Travel opened up

Hope nobody sold HFs done well to push price down and then back up even though news of travel update has been rumoured since start of the week. Nothing has changed since.

Usually you might be right but Uk travel announcement is due later today so could be extra boost to come. Does anybody know if this is before or after market close?

No because 789 was the price on the record date which was not the same date as ex-rights date. (that was fun and games last Fri lol) The Ex-rights date was last Fri CoB and record date was last Weds CoB

I wouldn’t look at RR as best example of a recent RI as there was a small short squeeze in the same period so the price action was all over the place at the time.

The RI is already factored into the price so from memory c.585 now is equiv of c690 pre RI. Any upwards / downwards momentum from 585 is price action in the market. There may be some rights sold into the market so will be more volatility but the key is EZJ ex-rights price already fully reflected

If the PCR tests are removed for vaccinated key for EZJ as ppl can actually do weekend breaks which is bread and butter of EZJ. Right now completely prohibitive to pay c£100 just for COViD tests when going away for a long weekend only.

Agreed Jim I have some cash aside ready in case of an overall market downturn but if RR goes sub 105 hard to resist another top up. Had some good unexpected positive news with small cash raise and nuclear subs so just needs ITP Aero to get more buyers back in and trend upwards again.

I also have noticed we had 2 v high volumes trading days after a pretty quiet last few weeks so hopefully some moves soon.

Jim I have learnt to only buy on red days unless huge positive news catalyst as chasing green usually never ends well

The inflation numbers spooked a whole market sell off yesterday and good bounce everywhere in particular travel. Rumours about scrapping PCRs, simpler traffic light and increased # of countries to travel been circulating since start of the week so surprised if another bounce coming after today.

Falky there is no science just about repeating the same tactic. At the moment RR has pulled back under 110 tons of times but at some point will stop which won’t be till this ITP Aero update most likely if it goes well.

Funny how the shorters disappear across all the boards on the green days yet LTH stick around regardless red or green
