The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
"Maybe buy a dog?"
Already have you barking at me though
Jubileey, didn't you buy the dip at 180p?
"Always laughing at Slift"
Bought a lot of Tullow shares today.
Are you happy? Still laughing?
Don't answer because I don't care :)
Jubileey,
Another stressful day?
lol y11-shx.
Still here, but don't you worry about me.
Ahh.. another day Jubileey is throwing a tantrum.
Nothing new here, but might be another "stressful day unrelated to the stock".
Oil and fossil fuel stocks are really going out of fashion, despite the rise in oil prices. Seems like the future for all oil and gas stocks have really become weak (even though there will always be a demand for oil).
Will we ever see a cyclical change as we saw in the last couple decades with the phasing of electric cars in the west and green initiatives?
I'm not too sure.
There's a lot of P&A wells that have been re-drilled.
The problem is, to re-drill, it's going to cost as much as drilling a new well.
The only difference is that there is data available on that well in comparison to new well (i.e. save costs on pre-drill exploratory work such as seismics).
Anyways, it's over peoples.
See you all @ 0p in 12 months time.
"Where is Slift he should be finishing work by now. You know what he does for a living chemical engineer (cleaner to us uneducated people)"
Busy I am!
Just because the share price is ramped doesn't mean anything.
Until there is an alternative, it's over for HUR. Wait till you get the next operational update.
The share price is 40% down from a year ago today.
Is that something to be happy about? Don't think so.
Only winners here are day traders.
CaptSwag,
"hopefullly production/oil price enable bondholders to be paid /renegotiated etc."
Potentially. But until there is an alternative, I stand by my opinion that it's over for HUR.
It's just too late to act, but ofcourse there's a lot riding on future oil prices for the future of HUR.
Operations to be wind down within next 3 months and liquidated within 12 months.
It's over for Hurricane, wait till you hear the bank balance and production rate for Q2 end.
Feel free to play around with tea cups like a 5 year old girl, but no other alternatives.
Shareholders chose this.
"would be great to see Tullow's income statements published in a weekly base"
Are you dumb?
LOOOOOOL
Another stressful day for Jubileey? "Unrelated to the stock" obviously.
"OK so I had missed this one:"
Haven't read any of the previous posts..
But don't forget the bubble point and the contribution to GOR (and hence flare) either.
Expect watercut to be 35-40% next update.
Basically it's over for HUR.
BOD are appealing on the basis to save the company. But hey, BOD won't be in place in a few more days.
So HUR is as good as dead as the company winds down activities as per plan.
I wouldn't be surprised if current oil production is <10k bopd following ramp up.
Also, it's the end of month. Quarter End.
C ya to a lot of cash on liabilities/interest payments.
and see ya to HUR.
"The general consensus seems to be that8-10p + is now possible after todays ruling."
No, the general consensus is 0p in 12 months time.
No.
I don't post on Twitter.
Also, I'm not as short sighted as that Twitter poster with regards to production.
Expect Y21 annual production to be 60-62k bopd.

Clickit,
"where’s your evidence for “HY21 results not looking so good”? You may be right but I haven’t seen anything (other than an absence of RNS contract wins)."
That's exactly it.
Major contract wins will need to be RNS'd in accordance with market rules as they have material impact on the share price.
I estimate current backlog at $4.2b."
Backlog came in at $4.0b at end of May. Why would I be positive about that?!
Current backlog (to end of June) <$4b.
Estimated at $3.8-3.9b.
More than 100% higher, but still more than 90% lower than a year ago hahaha.
No, are you stupid?
Read the RNS.
