A&8, that's quite a profound statement not doubt underpinned by your deep insight into the workings & developments within the marine industry and no doubt your tentacles of knowledge reach deep into the boardrooms of H.L & QFI.
The point is that although we can be highly critical of the QFI board for past events & even Maersk for that matter we must give credit where credit is due. Shortly after the Maersk Buoy-gate incident we got the following statement (4th May 2017) from M.K & Co:-
"The underlying opportunity remains substantial and many in the marine fuel and refining industries see the use of high sulphur fuel and scrubbers as the most economic option for compliance with the 2020 IMO sulphur regulations.Mike Kirk, Executive Chairman, said": From the April 17 RNS we got this:-
Despite this indication from Maersk, QFI continues to believe that the industry will ultimately move to the use of Scrubbers and high sulphur fuel as the most economic compliance option and that Marine MSAR® will enable operators to obtain additional economic and environmental advantages over the use of heavy fuel oil.
My posts over the last year have focused on Scrubber/EGCS adoption which now 18 months later seems to be quite well established and indeed a lot of shipping operators are going down that route which for me means that the opportunities for supply of marine MSAR and QFI are sizeable. Unless there is something deeply wrong with MSAR product or Quadrise Management then my own expectation is that the Company will progress and secure marine contracts for msar supply.
