I have been quite open (not specific) about my holding.
I banked £50k, and am still holding £50k (though now worth about 1/2 that).
That's a lot better position than many here find themselves in.
I'd rather not lose any of it, but I'm starting to think I'm going to lose my remaining holding.

I'm not going to sit here and praise UKOG's BoD.
They are responsible for where we are.
I realise and accept that there are a number of contributing factors which haven't helped.
But this has been on a slide for eighteen months.

Nor will I sit back and accept the ramping twaddling BS about this being worth a buy.
Right now it's nothing.
The BoD need to turn that around.
I'll be happy to show my support when it's deserved.

I don't personally trust a word he says, but that's my personal evaluation of his delivery.

I invested some money in an ETF recently.
I'd invested in it before and had traded it quite successfully.
The price had fallen to an amount that was too tempting not to.
The next day it went bust.
I lost £30k (fortunately a very small part of my trading portfolio).

DYOR and be careful.
We are in an extreme situation now.
Businesses are going to have a very hard time.
Just because a value falls, doesn't mean it will rise again and you could lose the lot.

I am worried about this now, especially with all the ongoing ramping as some try to get out by selling to anyone they can.

I agree.
That's really the point.
There is no demand.
Even when (if) the virus is under control, there is such a backlog that it will be a while after that that demand begins to increase from the markets to affect the benchmark.
All the reserves have to be worn down first.

But who knows?

It's the knock-on effect;
It may be a bad thing in the short-term.
Longer term it will be better.
But we'll have to survive the short-term first.

There's nowhere to put it and nobody's using it.
He can't sell it so he's essentially bailing out US shalers who might go under anyway, if they can't sell their product.
But once things start moving again, the problem will be extended as we still have a massive glut to use up before 'supply and demand' starts to push up prices again.

It also gives me concern for how UKOG face this problem.
They have almost no product to speak of (yet) but it still has to be put somewhere if they can sell it.
If there's no storage down the line, nobody will buy it until it's needed.

There will likely be a recession (at least) following all this as well.

Chump's suggested the Saud's could reduce by up to 20% now.
That may have more of an effect.
But there is still a massive oversupply.
So much so that the Chinese have been buying to over stock their reserves.
That meas the glut won't disappear any time soon.
There's a shortage of storage as well.
If storage actually runs out (which it is close to right now) they won't have anywhere to put what they're bringing up.
They may as well just make bigger cuts to try and eke it out a bit longer.
The virus and getting back into production is the key now.

Yep, Stroller.
I fund my retirement myself, ISA / SIPP,but won't see my state pension until 2026.
My expenditure has fallen massively over the last month.
I currently have cash in my current account for around 12 months, but I'm also keeping another 36/48 years' worth to hand in an investment account;
Things may get tricky once the bill for all of this falls due.
